Are we about to witness the first Kardashian to cut ties with the family? It's possible.
Sure, Caitlyn Jenner has certainly distanced herself from the famous family, but she still keeps in touch with her daughters Kendall and Kylie. Rob Kardashian, the only son in the family, has also taken a step back from the spotlight, but as far as everyone can tell, it's only the public aspect of the family he's shied away from.
But on the most recent episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Kourtney made something extremely clear: she does not agree with the way her family operates.
The drama started when Kourtney wasn't on board with how the family's Christmas card photo shoot was scheduled. Kim didn't appreciate her sister's criticism, and decided to make it personal.
"No one wants you in the f*****g shoot, so get the f*** out of here," Kim said.
Even after Kourtney left, Kim kept going.
"I need Kourtney to not be so f"”ing annoying with a stick up her a"” like she f"”ing runs this s"”, because she doesn't. She's the least exciting to look at."
In the same phone call, Kourtney called Kim "a very distraught, evil human being."
But the drama didn't end there (because why would it?), and the fight got more intense. During a phone call with Khloe, Kourtney told her sister that she wanted to quit the show and be a full-time mom to her three kids, Mason, Penelope, and Reign.
"If I had enough money, I wouldn't work. I wouldn't do the show. I would be a full-time mom. That's what I want to do."
The comment about "having enough money" kind of threw me for a loop, because Kourtney has a net worth of $35 million, but I digress.
The eldest Kardashian sister then went on to say she disagreed with the family's values and "didn't agree with who Kim was as a person."
"We have a disgusting family. I'm ashamed to be part of people like that, it's just gross. I'm not going to be filming with some f*****g c*** like Kim."
Ouch.
The argument then continued face to face, when Kourtney confronted Kim and Khloe about her issues with the family.
"When you die and when I die, it doesn't matter how much money is in our bank accounts. It's about memories. But [money is more important] to you, and I don't give a f***," she said. "I will move to a different state or a different country at some point, but now is not that time. But I cannot wait for that day when I just don't have to have these fake relationships any more."
Khloe asked Kourtney to clarify which relationships were being forced, and the reality star said the ones with her sisters.
"I feel that it's forced," Kourtney reiterated.
Khloe responded with "If you feel you're forcing a relationship then you shouldn't have it in your life. I mean, who knew that you were feeling that you're forcing relationships?"
The interaction ended with Kourtney leaving with her kids.
So, is it real?
Here's the thing: whether or not you like the Kardashians, you have to respect their hustle. The newest season of Keeping Up With The Kardashians just premiered, and people obviously wanted to watch the drama.
It's entirely possible that this was all fake in order to drum up ratings for the coming season, but if it's not...well then we might be watching the fall of an empire. I'm sure Kourtney has a lot of secrets she's ready to spill if she is in fact on the outs with her family.
