If you're anything like me, Keeping Up with the Kardashians is one of your favorite guilty pleasures.
While we may never live the glamorous life of the reality royalty, we can live vicariously through them through the small screen.
Even though some of their trials and tribulations seem absurd, they do touch on issues we can all relate to.
One of the subjects the show documented was the arrival of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's third child, which was done through surrogacy.
Although fans of the couple accused Kardashian of only using a gestational carrier in an effort not to "ruin" her body.
However, she quickly dispelled these rumors and said having another baby through this route was ultimately the safer option for both their health.
"Doctors said that it wasn't safe for my "” or the baby's "” health to carry on my own," Kardashian wrote on her website in January.
"After exploring many options, Kanye and I decided to use a gestational carrier. Although I have used the term surrogate in the past, a gestational carrier is actually the technical term for a woman who carries a baby that she has no biological relationship to."
"A traditional surrogate donates her egg, is artificially inseminated with the father's sperm and then carries the baby to term. Since we implanted my fertilized egg in our gestational carrier, our baby is biologically mine and Kanye's."
Now a family-of-five, Us Weekly has reported the celebrity parents are looking to expand their brood.
According to a source close to the family, Kardashian and West have one embryo left, and the sex is male. Another insider added that they're looking to have it implanted "soon."
In April, Kardashian told Elle that while she loves having a big family she wouldn't have more than four kids.
"I don't think I could handle more than that," she explained. "My time is spread really thin. And I think it's important that in all couples, the mom gives the husband as much attention as the kids."
In an interview with E! News at the Christie's x What Goes Around Comes Around 25th Anniversary Auction, Kardashian responded to the rumors of a future bundle of joy.
"I don't know, I don't know, I read that, I read something...none of that was true," Kim shared. "But I've been really open about it and talked about it on our show, so...I don't know."
"We start filming season 16 next week, so if I think about it more and it's gonna happen, you'll definitely see it on the show," Kim shared. "But as of now, no."
