Kim Kardashian has found herself in some hot water after a controversial response to a model's comment on an Instagram picture of her.
Tyson Beckford, a Ralph Lauren model who has appeared on Make Me A Supermodel and America's Next Top Model, decided to comment on a photo of Kardashian getting ready to film a segment for Jimmy Kimmel Live!
"Sorry I don't care for it personally. She is not real, doctor [f****d] up on her right hip," he commented on the photo.
Considering how harsh people can get on the internet, the comment doesn't seem too bad. Beckford said that he personally didn't like Kim K's body, which is an opinion he's more than welcome to carry.
But apparently, Kardashian couldn't handle the criticism. She replied with a comment that many people have taken to be homophobic.
"Sis we all know why you don't care for it ☕ðŸ¸ðŸ’…," she wrote.
If, like me, emojis are basically a foreign language to you...let me explain. The frog and coffee combo is a reference to a popular internet image of Kermit the Frog saying "But that's none of my business" while drinking tea. The word "tea" has become a synonym for gossip.
The nail painting emoji is often used as a way to express nonchalance, or a feeling of "whatever."
Basically, everyone took Kardashian's comment as the implication that Beckford is gay...which he's not. The male model has a 20-year-old son with his former girlfriend April Roome. He also has been in a long-term relationship with Berniece Julien. The two are rumored to be married, but keep their personal lives very private.
Users were quick to point out that Kardashian's response was uncalled for.
Beckford didn't seem too phased by it all, though. He didn't address Kardashian's exact comments, but he did double-down on what he said.
In the end, Beckford did start the drama by commenting on the picture, but you would think the Kardashians would be used to it at this point. Just recently, Kim was criticized for celebrating her "anorexic" body.
The mom-of-three shared an Instagram video with her sisters Khloe Kardashian and Kendall Jenner, both of whom commented on Kim's body.
"I don't think you're eating," Kendall, 22, said. "Like you look so skinny."
"Kimberly I can literally see through you!" Khloe said. "But she's anorexic here [gestures to waist], her arms are like pin thin, they're like my pinky."
"Oh my god the compliments!" Kim joyfully responded.
The reality star was criticized for promoting an unhealthy way of living and glorifying eating disorders.
At the end of the day, everyone involved in this drama makes a living off being in the headlines, so it's not that crazy to think they're reveling in the attention. But even if Kardashian's comments about Beckford being gay are true, it's an extremely troubling act to out someone without their consent just to get the last word in.
