Khloé Kardashian spent years trying to become a mom. With her ex-husband Lamar Odom, Khloé went through tests and treatments to find out why she couldn't get pregnant. Ultimately, it was for the best, as her marriage with Lamar ended amid scandal from his drug addiction. However, her desire to be a mom never faltered.
When it was announced that she was expecting her first child with then-boyfriend Tristan Thompson, everyone was thrilled for the reality star that she was finally getting to live her dream. Sadly, her happy family quickly came to an end when Tristan cheated on Khloé days before she gave birth to their daughter, True.
Khloé tried to repair the relationship, but then it came out that Tristan cheated again, this time with Kylie Jenner's best friend Jordyn Woods, and Khloé called it quits for good. Since then, she has been focusing on being the best mom she can be to her daughter, but as with anyone who lives in the public eye, Khloé has been the subject of a lot of mom shaming.
In the past, Khloé was shamed for her use of formula to supplement her breastfeeding schedule.
"Mommy shaming is real!" she shared on Twitter. "But the truth is I've tried and tried and tried to breastfeed only and it wasn't working for me. I feel fortunate that I am able to still breastfeed but with the help of formula. Breastfeeding is something I really wanted to do. Just am not fully able."
This time around, though, someone called out Khloé for her use of a nanny, and the clothing designer wasn't having any of it.
"Khloe acts like she can't go anywhere without her nanny," the comment read. "Nanny is in every pic and place she goes. She can mother on her own, we all do it! What a joke. She literally can't go to the market, a party, or lunch without her nanny Wtf."
It's a weird thing to accuse someone of, because if you're paying a nanny...and your child is with you...maybe the nanny should be there? Plus, in the picture the person is commenting on, the nanny isn't even helping with the baby, so it's not like she's doing all the work. Khloé doesn't always respond to comments, but this one got her attention.
I can go anywhere and everywhere with whom I choose to. I choose to treat everybody like family that is in my house. I choose to invite whoever wants to come to fun outings. We all love and enjoy the farmers market and it's so fun to go places and create memories together. I hope you have a happy and blessed day.
I also hope that you are very kind to the ones that are kind to you. The ones that are not, probably need your kindness even more.
Many people came to Khloé's defense, saying there's no issue with her having a nanny.
"you do see @khloekardashian is carrying her own child and pushing the stroller with her child in it, correct?" one person wrote. "You act like there isn't parent/child interaction! This Mommy constantly has her baby!!! Stop hating woman to woman!! 😡🤦ðŸ»"♀ï¸"
"Ive never seen this nanny in any other pictures," another pointed out. "but anyways, why is this a bad thing!? I don't have a nanny because I resigned from my job to take care of my daughter; khloe can't just quit and do the same! Parenting is not an easy task... imagine being a parent and having ten jobs 👀💦"
"Wow!! You would think as women we wouldn't hate like that!" a fan wrote. "Must be very insecure about themselves! And let's be honest ladies if you could afford a nanny you would bring them everywhere you could! Keep doing what your doing kloe 🥰"
It's well known that Khloé loves being a hands-on mom. Since she's given birth, she's rarely seen without baby True, and multiple sources have said that any help she has around is more for "support and company."
"Khloé seems to like having someone with experience help her, but she still spends most hours of the day with her daughter," and insider said. "She walks the baby around their neighborhood every day."
Like the one commenter said, that's the first time I've ever seen the nanny in any of Khloé's pictures, although her Instagram feed is well cultivated, so perhaps she just doesn't post the pictures with her in them. Regardless, I don't see there being an issue with Khloé having a nanny. Many families need help, especially families who work a lot.
