First comes love, then comes marriage, then the happy couple settle down in a new home - or at least their parents hope so.
So far, it looks like pop star Justin Bieber and his new fiance, model Hailey Baldwin, are following that plan step by step.
After Bieber popped the question to Baldwin last month, news broke that the singer has bought a $5 million mansion.
And it could be the perfect place for the couple to settle down.
Location, Location, Location
TMZ reports property Bieber purchased is in the small city of Cambridge, Ontario, Canada, which definitely doesn't sound like a haven for the rich and famous.
But the area's gorgeous lakeside views have attracted a lot of wealthy buyers. And Bieber has a good reason to look for a home there.
Cambridge is just a short drive from the singer's hometown of Stratford.
Over the summer, Bieber and his fiance have been spotted in a number of places around Stratford, and the couple seem to enjoy the town's laid-back atmosphere.
John Kastner, a museum director from Stratford who worked with Bieber on an exhibit about his life, says the pop star definitely seems happy out of the limelight.
"Certainly, he's around Stratford riding his bike around town, showing up in restaurants and getting ice cream and doing those things that normal people do," Kastner said.
So it makes sense that a new home close to Stratford and Bieber's family there would catch his eye.
Room For Two (And Plenty More)
Bieber's new chalet sits just above Puslinch Lake, and includes private access to the water with stunning views from the property.
The entire plot included 101 acres of wide-open space, which is nearly the size of Vatican City.
Inside, every room of Bieber's new mansion is designed with two things in mind: luxury, and space for entertaining a lot of guests.
The home is 9,000 square feet, with four bedrooms, six bathrooms, and three fireplaces - which is important for those cold Canadian winters.
Of course, there are also a handful of outrageous features to justify the home's $5 million price tag.
Next to the chef's kitchen and dining room, a two-story temperature controlled wine room guarantees Bieber and Baldwin will never run out of vino.
There's a private gym, game room, movie theater, and three-car garage. But most importantly, the mansion includes heated floors (those winters get really cold).
Hopefully the pair have a passion for horses and horse racing. Because a stable and 5/8 mile track are also included on the property.
While the home looks perfect for married life, there's no guarantee Bieber and his bride will move in.
The singer is a serial property owner, who's currently renting a bachelor pad in Beverly Hills and a mansion in West Hollywood.
