Jon Gosselin spent Christmas with his girlfriend Colleen and two of his kids, but the other six kids were nowhere to be found. Hannah and Collin Gosselin live full-time with their dad, and they posed with Colleen's kids for a cute family picture on Christmas Day.
As for the other six kids, they seemingly spent Christmas with their mom. However, Kate hasn't posted any pictures on her Instagram since Thanksgiving, so it's unclear whether or not they had a big celebration.
One thing is for sure, though. Jon's relationship with his other kids besides Collin and Hannah is rocky. He recently opened up about how the rest of the sextuplets don't speak to him, but that he's okay with it as long as they keep close with each other.
"The other four aren't talking to me, but they're talking to Hannah," Jon explained about his sextuplets. "It's what the kids want to do. If they don't want to talk to me, that's fine, as long as they keep up with their sibling connections."
Jon also mentioned that he doesn't communicate with Kate at all, saying "it's too much right now."
The last time Jon saw all his kids at the same time, it didn't end well.
"It was just volatile and a lot going on," he said. "It was just not a good time."
Jon and Kate's 18-year-old twin daughters, Mady and Cara, have also been vocal about their disdain for their father a couple of years ago.
"I wouldn't even know what to say about him," Cara explained.
"He makes it seem like we're being kept from him, which is insane," Mady said. "He should maybe spend some time thinking about why we don't want to see him, and maybe realize that if he ever does want a relationship with us, talking about us on TV is not the way to make that happen."
Earlier this year, Hannah made the choice to live with her father, and not long after, Jon was granted custody of Collin after Kate failed to appear at a court date. Collin is currently away getting treatment for what has only been described as "behavioral issues," and Jon says that having his son come live with him just made sense.
"It was just easier for the transition," Jon said of Collin coming to live with him. "So it'd be easier for one parent to just transition him home, and he wanted to live with me, so it was easier to do it that way."
Jon said he's happy that Collin is around, because it'll be nice to have another man in the house. Right now it's him, Colleen, and Hannah, so having more testosterone is always welcome. Jon also spoke about how happy he is with Colleen, saying they've even thought about marriage.
"I've thought about it, yeah "” talked about it," the father of eight said. "She's driven. I've known Colleen my whole life. We grew up three blocks from each other. Her sister used to babysit me."
It's always sad to hear when kids don't speak to their dad anymore, especially when from what we can all tell, he's been nothing but loving towards them. But, as long as everyone is happy, that's all that matters.
