What was supposed to be an exciting weekend for John Stamos and his pregnant fiance Caitlin McHugh, turned into a necessary call to police.
Stamos and McHugh have been together for two years and became engaged on October 22 in Disneyland.
"I asked...she said yes! ...And we lived happily ever afterðŸ’," Stamos captioned his Instagram post.
In December, just two months after their engagement, the couple announced that they were expecting a child together.
"I always wanted to be a dad. Clearly I had to do some work on myself first," the Full House alum told People in December.
"I think I'm going to be a fun dad, I've been practicing for a long time," Stamos said.
He added, "I've done every schtick thing you could do with a baby on TV, every slow Elvis song, every joke and bit and diaper gag - I'll probably just do all that stuff."
The couple was set to be married on Saturday, but on Friday they were facing an unexpected complication.
The 31-year-old actress, writer and model was staying at a Beverly Hills hotel and reportedly left for dinner when burglars broke in and swiped $165,000 worth of jewelry.
The jewels were on loan to McHugh from the Neil Lane collection, which means she is responsible for replacing them.
The pregnant mom-to-be called Stamos to the hotel to deal with the fallout.
There was no reported forced entry, and police currently have no suspects.
In spite of the frustrating events of the night before, the couple was all smiles as they wed at The Little Brown Church in Studio City, Los Angeles.
McHugh wore a beautiful strapless ballgown.
While Stamos was in a blue tailored suit.
The couple left the ceremony in a vintage Rolls Royce.
After the ceremony, the reception was held at Stamos's house in Beverly Hills.
Congratulations to the newly weds!
