At the end of March, Jinger Duggar and her husband Jeremy Vuolo announced that they, along with their young daughter Felicity, would be moving away from Texas to Los Angeles.
In recent days, God has made it overwhelmingly clear to us that he is leading us out of Laredo. Through much prayer and counsel, the next step for our family is to relocate to Los Angeles to attend Grace Community Church as Jeremy pursues graduate studies at The Master's Seminary. As excited as we are to begin this new adventure, leaving Laredo this July will be one of the hardest things we've ever done; our friends here have become like family. Please pray for us as we open this new chapter of our lives.
The news was pretty big, considering most members of the Duggar family tend to stay close to home even after starting their own families. However, Jinger and Jeremy already broke the mold when they moved from Arkansas to Texas after their wedding, so of all members of the family to make a big move, it made sense that it was them.
As her move draws closer, Jinger chose to write a beautiful letter to her mom and dad, thanking them for all they've done for her over the years.
Dear Dad & Mom, I want to take a moment to express my deep love and gratitude for you. You two have impacted my life in ways that will forever be imprinted upon my heart. You not only taught us kids what it means to be a Christian but exemplified it by your daily walk with Christ.Your training was one not merely of words, but of actions. Truly there is no greater emphasis that you could've instilled in us kids, than that of love for God and others. Your constant care for both our physical and spiritual needs is but a small example of our Heavenly Father's love and nurturing care for His children.
I am so grateful to God for the gift of such godly parents and role models as you. May the Lord grant both Jeremy & me the grace to raise our sweet Felicity with that same nurturing care and devotion. 💕 I love you both dearly! Your grateful daughter, Jinge
Jinger and her parents have always been close, of course, but it always felt like she was the one who would rebel. Granted, Duggar "rebelling" is different than normal rebelling, like wearing pants for example, but Jinger was the one to do it.
Seeing Jinger and Jeremy do things on their own accord and start their own family traditions is great, but I'm also glad to see that she is still so close with her parents.
