You'd be hard pressed to find a person in North America who has never heard of Jim Carrey.
The Canadian comedian found international fame with roles in movies like Dumb & Dumber, The Mask, Liar Liar, and Ace Ventura.
His goofy facial expressions and dramatic gestures made him an instant favorite, with all of us yelling "SSSSSOMEBODY STOP ME!" at some point in our lives.
Through his rise to fame, however, Carrey always made sure to include his daughter Jane.
Jane Erin Carrey was born in 1987 to her dad Jim and his first wife Melissa Wormer. She was frequently seen with Jim on his red carpet adventures and made all of us fall in love with her sweet smile.
As she began to grow up, Jane started to realize her passion of music. When she was 24 years old, she auditioned for American Idol and talked about the pressure of being related to a celebrity. She even mentioned she was working as a waitress, not wanting to just live off her father's fortune.
"It was definitely fun growing up with having him as a father, he's not the most extravagant celebrity so it was fairly normal growing up, fairly," Jane said. "It is difficult growing up in the shadow of something and trying to find your place in the world underneath this huge shadow."
But now, at age 29, Jane is all grown up and has found her place in the world. She's also a mom herself!
Jane Erin Carrey is now all grown up with a son of her own. She got married in 2009 to Alex Santana, but unfortunately that ended two years later. However, her little boy Jackson Riley Santana is as precious as can be!
When Jackson was born, Carrey doted happily about being a grandfather on social media.
"Jackson Riley Santana. My Grandson, Born today! This is what 7 lbs.11oz of California dynamite looks like!" he tweeted.
As for Jane, this is what she looks like now:
If there was any question as to whether or not they're related, that mega-watt smile certainly confirms it!
Jane is still pursuing music, having recorded and performed a song for the end of Jim Carrey's 2014 movie, Dumb and Dumber To.
We're glad to see the whole family is happy and healthy!
