Jessa Duggar-Seewald is weeks away from welcoming a new member to the family, and she's opening up about some predictions she has for her unborn baby!
Jessa, who is married to Ben Seewald, already has two kids under the age of four. Her kids, Henry Wilberforce and Spurgeon Elliot, are pretty freakin' adorable, so there's no question that this third one will be as well. Jessa hasn't revealed what the gender of the baby is, which isn't unusual for the Duggars, but she did share some updates on her pregnancy, including a couple of predictions!
31 weeks. Pardon the toothpaste splatters on the mirror. 😆.Definitely a bit bigger than I was at this point in my pregnancy with Henry (who was born 8lbs 11oz), but smaller than I was with Spurgeon (who was born 9lbs 11oz).What can I say"” those Duggar genes grow "˜em big. 😂 Besides the twins, my mom had all 8-9lb babies for the first half, and then 7-8lb babies for the second half. Most of the grand babies have been in the 8-9lb range so far, and one was a little over 10lb! 😳 Maybe we'll end up somewhere in the middle this time. 😆🙈.
On another note, I've heard the old wives tale that heartburn in pregnancy means baby will be born with lots of hair. If there's any truth in that, then this one ought to have a head full. 😂 I mean it could just be coincidence, but I had heartburn with Spurgeon too, and he was born with a decent amount of hair. 😄 Haha! Probably just has to do with specific foods in my diet more than anything. Anyone want to weigh in based on personal experience? 🤔
Also, any natural heartburn remedies that are recommended in pregnancy? ☺ï¸
Since her announcement about being pregnant in January, Jessa hasn't posted many updates on her Instagram page. Usuaully, the family likes to keep their social media pages filled with pictures of their baby bumps, but this time was different. Jessa only posted one other image of her growing belly, and she made it clear that even though she's enjoying this pregnancy, she was trying to be sensitive about her sister-in-law's miscarriage.
As we look forward to meeting our baby, we're also feeling an exceptional amount of grief over my brother Josiah and sister-in-law Lauren's loss of their baby. Lauren and I shared the exact same due date.We have cried so many tears, both together and apart. My heart aches for them. I weep when I think of how difficult it must be for her to see me pregnant in the very stages where she would've been"” right up through the baby's due date.
And yet, even in a flood of emotions, there are perplexities of the human heart that may cause us to want to clam up or remain silent through such a trial. Because of this, many people feel like they're walking this road alone.
Knowing that he was due on the same day as Jessa must be hard for Lauren to deal with, but Jessa seems to be handling it with compassion.
I wonder if any of Jessa's predictions with come true? With two boys already, I bet she's hoping she gets a girl, and a small one at that!
