"Little People, Big World" Says Goodbye To Three Family Members

TLC

Little People, Big World seemed to change the game in terms of reality television. Yes, they were a family with differences, but that's not why we tuned in each week. We watched the Roloffs grow and learn together, and even watched the kids get married and start their own families!

TLC

As time went on, Jacob Roloff began to distance himself from the family business. Jacob ended up quitting the show, calling it "fake and scripted." He also hinted that he doesn't have money from the show.

"Man I wish it didn't feel like I was getting fu*ked out of the money from the show that was my childhood right now," he posted on social media.

He's rekindling the relationship now, and it seems like he's finally found who he is.

Molly Roloff also stepped away from the show for a while to focus on her education and ended up getting married in 2017.

But despite Jacob and Molly stepping away from the spotlight, Jeremy, Zach, Matt, and Amy all seemed happy to continue on.

However, in a recent Instagram post, Jeremy and his wife, Audrey, announced that they would be leaving the show along with their young daughter Ember. Jeremy posted a sweet message to fans on his Instagram page.

This is an announcement concerning Jeremy Roloff and his family specifically: After 14 years, over 300 episodes, and 17 seasons, the time has come. A year ago I made the decision that this season would be our last. It has been an amazing run, and I can't say thank you enough to all of you who have watched and supported us along the ride. We have the most loyal fans on TV and we appreciate every one of you. You are what made doing this so fun.🙏🏼 We will still be supporting the family as they carry the #LPBW torch onward. This is a decision concerning Audrey and me specifically - the show must go on! That being said, we're not disappearing. We have a lot of exciting stuff in the works and are eager to continue the work that the Lord has called us to! Again, we thank you, and always enjoy when we get a chance to meet one of you. Whether it be in the airport, on the street, at pumpkin season or at one of our upcoming Beating50percent events! THANK YOU for all the love and support. Your messages, comments, gifts, and mail are noticed and appreciated. ❤️You guys are the best. Thank you for respecting our decision. I also want to give a big thank you to the team at TLC. Thanks for putting up with us;) You've provided us with a grand opportunity and for that we are forever grateful. *you can watch the video on my IGTV. Under the mercy, -Jeremy

Amy Roloff posted a beautiful message to her son in the comments section of his post.

First, love you three so much. Second, the Lord has called you for a mission and I'm excited to see what he will continue to do in your lives. You're making an impact, that is for sure. Woohoo! Third, I couldn't agree with you more Jeremy. It's time to move on... for all of us to move on in one way or another. LPBW has had an awesome run because of the family and everyone that has watched, supported, encourage[d], and been impacted by the show. Love that. Season 14 is being filmed right now and will air late this season or spring. Fourth... I couldn't be more proud of you and Audrey. Keep fighting the good fight.

Audrey also posted a message of her own.

In case you didn't see our annoucement over on @jeremyroloff's IGTV ..... This past season was our last season of filming for Little People Big World. know it's been a shorter run for me(for Jeremy it's been 14 years!😮), but I've shared some pretty big life moments on #LPBW - getting engaged, our wedding day, the launch of @beating50, 3 moves, a remodel, finding out we were having a baby girl, and becoming a new mom! I and so thankful for the encouragement, kindness, and support that each of you have shown to our family. We are forever grateful for the run we've had, but excited to focus on what we feel the Lord is calling us too! You guys are the most loyal fans. Thank you for respecting our decision. And thanks to TLC for putting up with us;) . Mostly, I am so proud of my husband who has grown up in the public eye and yet remained grounded, wise, and steadfast in his faith. This decision is one that I respect him for immensely. "˜Here's hail to the rest of the road!' I love you Farmer. Psalm 20:7 #journeyofjerandauj #beating50percent

It's possible the couple is also fed up of dealing with the insanity that is being a celebrity. While on vacation in May, Audrey shared sweet pictures of her and her daughter on the beach.

This was an evening of undistracted playfulness with our little girl. Splashing in the ocean and digging in the sand. I think it was C.S. Lewis that said, "Children aren't a distraction from more important work. They are the most important work." I'll admit it. I'm a heroic multitasker. And although this might be a skill worthy of praise in our culture, it's a tendency I'm trying to fight against. I want to be more present, more tuned-in, and more alive in each moment, task, or encounter. Especially when it comes to motherhood. I don't want to model busyness, I want my life to reflect discipline, priorities, and healthy rhythms of rest. I want my daughter to know by my actions that raising her is a privellage and a blessing, not a burden. Moms how do you fight agaisnt the temptaion to multitask?! Photo @jeremyroloff

But not everyone thought the shots were cute. A lot of backlash ensued, due mostly to the fact that Ember's bare bottom was on the internet.

"Can you imagine if your naked butt was on the internet somewhere?? Think about the pictures of your children before you post them ... Nothing on the internet goes away," wrote one follower.

"She's really cute but naked photos of your kids shouldn't be shared with the world, they should be kept private," added another.

"I cringed when i saw these pics too...how unsanitary for baby's privates to be right up against the sand....!!! Like that's just asking for baby to have some kind of infection 😳," wrote one commenter.

Another chimed in: "I know everyone thinks naked babies are cute, but when you are in the ocean and on the beach they need to have on suits and/or diapers. There is too much bacteria in the water and on the sand."

TLC

TLC released a statement on the departure of Jeremy and Audrey, saying "We wish Jeremy, Audrey and Ember the best, and we are excited to continue to keep up with other members of the Roloff family when Little People, Big World returns next year."

It's going to be totally different watching the show without Jeremy and his family, but there's no doubt that Zach, Tori, and little Jackson will give fans enough to enjoy!

In my happy place with my happy people! ❤️ °o°
