Teen Mom star Jenelle Evans has admitted to using drugs during her pregnancy with her daughter Ensley.
During an interview for Vince Russo's The Brand podcast, the infamous reality star, 26, confessed she tested positive for THC - a chemical found in cannabis.
"I'm not going to lie about that. I tested positive for THC, and Ensley did not test positive. I did," Evans said. "So [Child Protective Services] were like"”I was in the hospital"”they said, 'Did you smoke when you were pregnant?' I said, 'I did within the past 30 days. I said I have really bad esophageal spasms and I throw up every 5 minutes, I can't even eat.' And they said, 'OK, some moms do that. We are not here to judge, we are writing down your information.'"
This isn't the first time the troubled starlet has spoken about her drug addiction. Evans acknowledged in her autobiography Read Between the Lines: From the Diary of a Teenage Mom, she had been using heroin "four or five times a day" while at rock bottom.
During the interview, Evans said Child Protective Services (CPS) came to her house following Ensley's birth.
But luckily, they were satisfied with what they found.
"After I had Ensley, they said CPS will just come by to do a [wellness] check since you tested positive," Evans recalled. "They came and did a checkup, and everything is fine. They closed the case."
Sadly, this isn't the first time CPS have conducted a visit at Evan's residence.
"CPS has been here like 30 times, not just for that, but for haters online saying that I abuse my kids. So they came and checked up on that."
Evans is also the mother to eight-year-old Jace and three-year-old Kaiser. She lost custody of Jace to her mother, and her struggle to get her firstborn back has been a major plot line in the show.
Now, Evans is adamant she's clean and on the path of the straight and narrow.
"If I were on drugs, I wouldn't be able to sit here in the morning and get the kids ready and eat healthily," Evans said. "Or I'd be losing a lot of weight."
How do you feel about Evan's candid confession?
