One of the best ways to grow one's wealth is by owning real estate and this why many of the world's biggest celebrities are constantly buying new properties.
Comedian and media mogul Ellen DeGeneres is no different. For nearly three decades, DeGeneres has bought and sold at least 15 homes.
In an interview with Architectural Digest, the host explained that buying a house was one of her childhood dreams because her family never owned one.
"We never had a house when I was growing up. We always rented. But my father would dream, and we used to look at houses all the time," DeGeneres said. "The first thing I did when I made money was buy a house."
Her properties have been featured in design magazines and her portfolio even made it into books, but DeGeneres shows no signs of stopping anytime soon. She recently bought a beach-side mansion in Santa Barbara and it looks dreamy on the inside and out.
According to Domino.com, DeGeneres bought the 6,000 square-foot house for a whopping $18.6 million dollars. The seaside villa features four bedrooms, four and a half bathrooms, a private courtyard, a pool, tennis court, a guest house for eight, an office, three fireplaces, and so much more.
The property was listed for only 14 days before DeGeneres scooped it up. Although it's a downsize from her and Portia's current 10,000-square-foot-home, it has spectacular views and amenities that many of us can only dream of.
Let's take a look at the rest of this house's features.
