Don't Use Ginger If You Have Any of These Conditions!

Ginger is one of the healthiest plants on the planet, provided by its beneficial active compounds, like gingerols and shogaols. People have used ginger for centuries, and it is a potent natural remedy for various medical conditions.

Ginger has powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties and offers a myriad of health uses, but unfortunately, some people need to avoid it.

You need to stay away from this medicinal root if you suffer from any of the following conditions:

  1. Blood Disorders

Ginger boosts the circulation of blood, so it is beneficial in the case of obesity, diabetes, Raynaud's disease, and peripheral artery disease, but it can be harmful in the case of hemophilia, or the inability of the blood to clot normally. Namely, ginger neutralizes the effects of the medications used to treat this condition.

  1. Certain Drugs

If you take diabetes or hypertension drugs, avoid ginger, as it might interfere with the effects of insulin, anticoagulants, or beta-blockers. Ginger will trigger blood thinning and lower blood pressure, so it will reduce the effects of the drugs.

  1. Underweight

Ginger is loaded with fiber and has an ability to boost the secretion of digestive enzymes and stomach pH levels, so it helps the weight loss process and suppresses appetite. In underweight people, it can lead to poor muscle mass, weight loss, and menstrual irregularities.

  1. Pregnancy

Being a natural stimulant, ginger helps digestion and supports the muscle health, but during pregnancy, it might stimulate premature contractions and labor. Moreover, it disrupts the absorption of dietary iron and fat-soluble vitamins. It effectively relieves morning sickness, but doctors recommend avoiding it at least during the last trimester of the pregnancy.

Ginger Alternatives

If you belong to any of these groups, you should not despair, as there are some highly beneficial natural alternatives to ginger.

You can use sweet peppers, red paprika, or cayenne pepper instead. You can add red paprika to spicy meals, and in other cases, use sweet peppers.

Here is a delicious, detoxifying drink using cayenne pepper that will provide numerous benefits for your health, and help you boost your health even if you cannot consume ginger:
