Tired of the same-old dinner? Try something a little different by using a new sauce mixture to liven up that chicken dinner! Sriracha sauce is extremely popular, but if you take that spicy condiment and mix it with some sweet honey you end up with a perfect flavor that you are going to love.
We made it using drumsticks but if you wanted to you could put it on chicken thighs, breasts or wings just adjust the cooking time accordingly. Just make sure you use skin-on chicken because you are going to want it to be crispy.
Ingredients:
- 5 chicken drumsticks
- Pinch of salt and pepper
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 1/4 cup Sriracha
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp honey
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a baking sheet with tin foil and top wire cooling racks so your chicken can cook more evenly and not get stuck to the sheet. Use baking spray on your wire racks to help the cleaning process.
In a large bowl sprinkle a pinch of salt and pepper onto your chicken drumsticks.
Put the cornstarch over top and mix up the drumsticks until all of them are evenly coated.
Put your chicken onto the baking sheet and bake until golden and crispy. Usually it will be able 45-50 minutes.
While you cook the chicken you can prepare your sauce. Melt butter into the sauce pan, adding the honey and Sriracha stirring until combined.
When your chicken is cooked, brush the Sriracha-honey mixture over the drumsticks and enjoy!
I'm in love with these drumsticks!
