For as long as I can remember, my family and I have been dog people. There's no question as to whether or not we'd have a furry friend in the house "” it's always been a definite (especially for my kids). Through the years, it's been difficult to keep up with the demands of our pups, between figuring out a consistent walking schedule and getting all the necessary supplies every week. Up until recently, I relied solely on PetCo for my dog's needs - it seemed like the only option that had to get everything I needed to keep my pooch happy. BarkBox popped up on my Facebook one day, and it exceeded my expectations and made my pups tail wag faster than ever before!

<amp-img src="https://www.shared.com/content/images/2019/03/Beag.jpg" srcset="https://www.shared.com/content/images/2019/03/Beag_GH_content_550px.jpg 550w, https://www.shared.com/content/images/2019/03/Beag_GH_content_650px.jpg 650w, https://www.shared.com/content/images/2019/03/Beag_GH_content_750px.jpg 750w, https://www.shared.com/content/images/2019/03/Beag_GH_content_850px.jpg 850w, https://www.shared.com/content/images/2019/03/Beag_GH_content_950px.jpg 950w" sizes="89vw" title="" alt="" height="9" width="16" layout="responsive"></amp-img>

BarkBox is a monthly subscription of toys and treats for your dog with new themes in each package "” absolutely adorable themes like Chewrassic Bark and The Knights of the Hound Table. This Holiday they even had an exclusive Grinch Box! Every month, BarkBox sends a package containing two bags of treats, two toys, and a chewer (all, of course, pre-approved by the company's office dogs!) The box also comes in three sizes based on your dog's size, so the products are sure to fit your pup. My little guy needs the Medium box, for dogs who are 20 to 50 pounds, but the company caters to dogs under 20 and over 50 pounds as well.

<amp-img src="https://www.shared.com/content/images/2019/03/Lab.jpg" srcset="https://www.shared.com/content/images/2019/03/Lab_GH_content_550px.jpg 550w, https://www.shared.com/content/images/2019/03/Lab_GH_content_650px.jpg 650w" sizes="89vw" title="" alt="" height="9" width="16" layout="responsive"></amp-img>

Simply put, BarkBox's selection of products is nothing like what I was used to getting at PetCo. All treats are made in the U.S. and are organic. My favorite are the apple cider donuts "” they're soft and crumbly like real donuts, and festive for fall, too! The chews are healthy because they contain real, recognizable ingredients instead of additives or other preservatives.

The toy selection was insanely impressive too. Typically, PetCo's options are limited "” a few subpar choices of stuffed animals, sticks, and bouncy balls - the same stuff all the time. I can tell my dog was getting sick of his toys because he'd nudge them to the side after a few minutes, but BarkBox's choices are much more interactive. Their options are so fun and creative, like A Pawful of Falafel and their Dog Twister Puzzle. The toys are so cute my son made our dog his own Instagram. If you (or your dog) aren't happy with a toy they'll gladly send a replacement until it's just what you're looking for. It's their Dog People Promise, and it's an important touch considering other companies offer nothing of the sort.

<amp-img src="https://www.shared.com/content/images/2019/03/French.jpg" srcset="https://www.shared.com/content/images/2019/03/French_GH_content_550px.jpg 550w, https://www.shared.com/content/images/2019/03/French_GH_content_650px.jpg 650w, https://www.shared.com/content/images/2019/03/French_GH_content_750px.jpg 750w, https://www.shared.com/content/images/2019/03/French_GH_content_850px.jpg 850w, https://www.shared.com/content/images/2019/03/French_GH_content_950px.jpg 950w" sizes="89vw" title="" alt="" height="9" width="16" layout="responsive"></amp-img>

Initially, I only had my dog in mind when committing to the monthly service. I wanted to spoil him a bit with new treats and toys, but it turned out to be an even bigger game changer for me. My doggie and I are closer than ever before, and my children are so excited for the cute new toys every month that they're actually doing their part to look after the pup. BarkBox understands just what my dog and I need, and I don't even have to leave my house to get it.

Exclusive Offer: The folks at BarkBox are extending a special offer to our readers! Follow this link to get a FREE extra toy in every single BarkBox (Up to a $108 value)!!
