When the Wright family shares the incredible story of fate and faith, they begin with a Bible verse: "Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by doing so some people have entertained angels without knowing it - Hebrews 13:2."
It's fitting, because their story is about how a twist of fate brought an angel in disguise into their lives. It starts 3 years ago, when Chris Wright and his wife Carmen were driving to church. It was a rainy day, and they noticed a woman walking along the side of the road.
TunDe Hector's car had broken down, and she had a long way to walk to the nearest gas station. To make things worse, she had just $5 in her pocket. Chris didn't know any of this, but after dropping his wife off at church he turned his car around to help her.
"I have to go back. I have to help her," Carmen remembers her husband saying. He picked TunDe up, drove her to the gas station, bought her a full can of gas and handed over the rest of the money in his wallet before driving back to church.
It was a very generous act, but one that doesn't surprise Carmen at all. "He was raised that way," she said. "He's kind and generous to everyone. He'd never picked up anybody before, but he felt compelled." As it turned out, TunDe would remember Chris and his act of kindness, and paid him back in a big way.

Chris's mom Judy recently became very ill with Parkinson's disease, and the family was forced to move her into a care home.
In June doctors told Chris that his mother only had a few weeks left to live, but her team of nurses and doctors made her last days very comfortable. One nurse's aide stood out in particular: TunDe Hector.
The Wrights got to know TunDe as they visited Judy, and talked about her life and her dream of going to nursing school. One day, she surprised them by telling a story about being stuck on the side of the road in a rain storm.
"That was me," Chris told her when she finished the story. As Carmen says, "the encounter that had blessed them both three years ago, came full-circle," and brought them together again.
Judy died soon after, but Hector left her own birthday party to be with the Wrights in their time of crisis, and has stayed close with them ever since. Instead of flowers, the family asked for visitors at Judy's funeral to donate to TunDe so she can finally go to nursing school.
The family also took their incredible story onto social media, raising almost $30,00 for TunDe on YouCaring and surprising her with the good news in a touching video. "I don't know why God chose our two families," Carmen told CBS, "but she's family. It's like she's known us forever."
