It's been a few years since Frozen was on everyone's mind, but when John Kucko came home to find his house looking like Elsa's Ice Palace he probably hummed a few bars of Let It Go.
The New York photographer drove up to his beach home in Webster, New York and found a startling sight. His beloved getaway home completely encased in 7 inches of ice.
The home is located on the shores of Lake Ontario, and Kucko speculates that the waves from the lake were splashing up and freezing his home solid.
He says his house is the only one on the shore that doesn't have a retaining wall, making the water and wind more likely to coat his home.
He might want to think about investing in one.
He posted a 30-second video on his Facebook page showing just how frozen his house had become.
30 seconds of absolutely frigid Lake Ontario shoreline. Some parts look apocalyptic up there. The violent wind we've had the last five days has taken a toll. (Click HD icon at bottom right of video for best quality).

As chilling as the image of his house were, it's apparently not uncommon in the area.

Sea spray from lakes splashes up and freezes to the colder objects that it touches. I guess lake front property isn't all it's cracked up to be.
