Over the last few days, deadly wildfires have been rapidly spreading through different parts of California, forcing thousands of people to evacuate their homes.
As of Sunday, at least 31 people have died in the fires - 29 in Northern California's Camp fire (one of the deadliest fires in the state's history) and two in Southern California's Woolsey fire.
The latter fire has spread across 85,000 acres and only 15% of it is contained. It has destroyed 179 properties, and is expected to cause more damage in the coming days.
Many residents, including some Hollywood stars, have taken to social media to share the devastation that the inferno left in its wake.
Scottish actor Gerard Butler shared a photo of the fire's aftermath, revealing what's left of his burned-down property, and reminding his fans that the firefighters need support.
"Returned to my house in Malibu after evacuating," the P.S. I Love You actor tweeted. "Heartbreaking time across California. Inspired as ever by the courage, spirit and sacrifice of firefighters. Thank you @LAFD. If you can, support these brave men and women at http://SupportLAFD.org."
Miley Cyrus, Neil Young, Robin Thicke, Camille Grammer, Shannen Doherty have also shared online updates, informing their followers that their Malibu-area homes have been destroyed by the flames.
"Sadly my house couldn't be saved," Grammer wrote on Instagram. "The courageous firefighters were able to save my cars and personal items recovered from my home. I thanked the fire chief and his team of firemen for all of their hard work. He took the time to explain what happened and I'm grateful for all of their hard work trying to save my home. Sad we lost our home but grateful that my family is safe."
Thicke shared a statement on Instagram confirming that he and his family have lost their home, but they're safe.
"April, Julian, Mia and I would like to thank the courageous firefighters and volunteers," the "Blurred Lines" singer wrote. "As we drove to safety, they risked their lives trying to save our home. We are safe and surrounded by friends and family. We Thank you for all the love and support we've received and we send our love and prayers to everyone affected by the fires. Count your blessings!"
Young explained that he has lost a home "before to a California wildfire, now another" while Doherty, who was out of town when the fire torched her neighborhood, wrote that her "heart is ripped apart" after losing the home where she married her husband in 2011.
"This place. I got married there. But before that, it's the place @chriscortazzo let me stay in after my dad passed away. It's the place I felt my dad with me. It's gone. Fire has taken it away. I'm devastated by all that's happening," the Beverly Hills, 90210 actress posted on Instagram.
According to reports, the famous Bachelor mansion as well the set of the hit television show Westworld have been completely destroyed.
