The road to parenthood is rarely an easy one, but for some it's filled with more heartbreaking moments than others.
When former General Hospital star Vanessa Marcil, announced in November and she and her fiance, who she just refers to as MC, were expecting a baby. As you can imagine she was over-the-moon with excitement.
"It's baby time. After 6 miscarriages we are saying prayers for OPM 😊 ðŸ™ðŸ½#MadHappy," she wrote on her Instagram post.
For Marcil this baby was the little miracle after she revealed that she had six miscarriages before this pregnancy.
She later confirmed that she was going to be having a girl in a sweet Instagram moment of her pup, Rocky, snuggling against her baby bump.
"The GIRLS 😜," she captioned her post.
The baby was to be Marcil's second child, who already shares a 15-year-old son, Kassius Lijah, with her former Beverly Hills, 90210 castmate, Brian Austin Green.
But not everything was happened according to plan for the mom-to-be.
Marcil and her beau announced their engagement on April 23, 2013, when the soap star shared a close-up shot of her new manicure which also revealed a gold band on her ring finger.
After all the excitement she shared a message on Twitter about the engagement.
"Thank you for sharing in our excitement. My engagement ring was Audrey Hepburns gold band. @RanchMC72 on one knee in uniform. #REALMEN," she tweeted.
After the news came of their pregnancy, Marcil shared a sweet picture of the father-to-be spending some time with their dogs.
"MC practicing #RealMen," she wrote.
Unfortunately for the 49-year-old actress she shared some heartbreaking news on her Instagram just three months after revealing her pregnancy.
In a call asking for privacy, it was revealed that she had suffered her seventh miscarriage.
"Our hearts are with Vanessa and MC who have lost baby OPM. Thank you for respecting their privacy as they heal and thank you for sharing all of your personal stories. You are not alone," the caption of the post said.
Marcil was previously married to actor Corey Feldman from 1989-1993, and then actor Carmine Giovinazzo from 2010-2013.
Our hearts go out to Vanessa and her fiance during this difficult time.
