HGTV is home to so many of our favorite shows, and Fixer Upper is definitely at the top of that list.

Chip and Joanna Gaines do an incredible job of finding a house that needs some TLC, and turning it into something spectacular.

The couple has produced four seasons of their hit show, and were even given a spin-off, called Fixer Upper: Behind the Design. Of course, you can't be a reality TV star without your fair share of drama.

In July, the couple was sued by former clients, whose house was hit by a drunk driver. Ken and Kelly Downs believed it was the Gainses fault that the neighborhood was bad.

"It's like the Wild West here. There's been a lot of commotion coming from the bars and the store across the street," Kelly Downs said. "It's been a problem from the beginning. We've lived here a year and a half and we feel deceived by the city of Waco and Magnolia Realty."

But now, after five seasons, Fixer Upper has announced they will not be back for a sixth.

So what prompted the decision?

Chip and Joanna took to their blog, announcing the sudden departure from HGTV.

"It is with both sadness and expectation that we share the news that season 5 of Fixer Upper will be our last. While we are confident that this is the right choice for us, it has for sure not been an easy one to come to terms with."

The couple, who have four kids together, have been rumored to be on the rocks since 2013, but they made sure to clarify there is no trouble in paradise.

"We would be foolish to think we can go and go and fire on all cylinders and never stop to pause. Our marriage has honestly never been stronger. This has nothing to do with a fraudulent skincare line or anything else you'll inevitably read. This is just us recognizing that we need to catch our breath for a moment.Our plan is to take this time to shore up and strengthen the spots that are weak, rest the places that are tired and give lots of love and attention to both our family and our businesses."

The Gainses say they just want to settle down into their life with four kids and have a normal lifestyle for a while.

Season 5 will air as planned, but it will be the last one for the couple. HGTV says they'll miss Fixer Upper, but understand the choice.

"We've all been on an incredible journey with Chip and Joanna for five years. It takes a huge amount of time and creative energy to make a phenomenal series like Fixer Upper," the network said in a statement. "We understand their decision to spend more time with their family. Like all of their fans, we want only the best for them and they know they will always have a home at HGTV. Fans can expect that the upcoming season of Fixer Upper will be the best season ever and we can't wait for it to hit the air later this year.
