It's only been a year since American Idol got cancelled, but it feels like it's been a lifetime.

We literally watched people's lives get changed, so when it got cancelled, we all mourned the loss of our beloved Idol.
But now, we can all get excited because American Idol is coming back!! There's already been a ton of speculation as to who the host will be, with Ryan Seacrest leading the way. Now the big question is...who will be the judges?
It's highly unlikely we'll see the iconic trio of Randy, Paula, and Simon back together. But reports have surfaced giving us a liiiiittle more insight as to who could be a front-runner.

According to TMZ, Clarkson is really excited about the possibility of judging the show and has even cleared her schedule so she can start filming auditions.
Clarkson won the very first season of American Idol and has gone on to have an amazing career, winning 3 Grammy awards and selling almost 14 million albums over the years. She has gone Platinum 11 times, so it's safe to say she knows what it takes to be a star.
