<div><p>A fire broke out in a Santa Monica Apartment complex, firefighters responded quickly to try to put out the flames.One fire fighter found a small dog who had succumbed to the smoke but he didn't give up.</p><p>The fireman immediately began to give the pup CPR and didn't give up until the dog was breathing again! It was a terrifying few minutes for Andrew Klein, but he knew he had to try to save this little dog. </p><div><figure><amp-img src="https://www.shared.com/content/images/2017/03/firefighter1.png" srcset="https://www.shared.com/content/images/2017/03/firefighter1_GH_content_550px.png 550w" sizes="89vw" title="" alt="" height="9" width="16" layout="responsive"></amp-img></figure></div><p><!-- [invalid-shortcode] --></p><p>The department posted to their Facebook page that "during the firefight, firefighters searching the interior for victims discovered an unresponsive dog that was overcome by heat and smoke. The dog was quickly pulled from the structure not breathing and without a pulse.
