We all dream about it as we lip-sync along to the songs of our favorite artist, or belting out the lyrics of their best hits in the car, or even scaring our family when we let loose in the shower as if it's a stage to a concert hall.
We imagine the feeling of being up there with our idols, and that if given the chance, we could shine in that spotlight, even if it's for 15 minutes of fame. For one lucky fan of Paramore, they got that moment in the limelight.
When the band Paramore recently performed to a massive crowd in Jacksonville, Florida, the lead singer, Hayley Williams, decided to make the dreams of one spectator come true.
The concert was meant to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of their career-launching album Riot!, when Williams noticed someone in the audience who had been singing along to every song that night.
Williams decided that she would take a chance on her, and she wasn't going to regret it.
It was the last act of the evening, and instead of the usual finish, the lead singer of the acclaimed band Paramore made the choice to take a step back and let someone else finish the night off.
"This is Kirsten everybody," she said as she pulled her onstage. "Kirsten has been singing every song like crazy... I spotted you from the first song. Little did I know that as fate would have it we'd be standing here together."
She put the microphone in her hand, and the band started up "Misery Business," the last act of the evening.
You're going to have to watch the video to get the full impact of this young woman's performance!
It was heart-warming to watch someone achieve a dream like that, and I have a new-found respect for the band after this!
