When our favorite shows end in the spring, it feels like an eternity before they come back with a new season. More often than not, we're left with a cliffhanger that sticks with us all through the summer.
But it's hard to keep track of all the shows you want to watch and when they start up again, especially since they all happen so close to each other.
I went through a list of shows and found some of the most popular ones returning this fall. Make sure to mark your calendars so you don't miss out!
1. Grey's Anatomy
Yes, the medical show is still going! The 15th season at Grey-Sloan Memorial will start on Thursday, September 27 at 8 p.m. with a two-hour premiere on ABC.
2. Blue Bloods
I know the show hasn't really been the same since Linda Reagan left, but that doesn't mean I'm going to stop watching! CBS will be airing the season premiere on Friday, September 28 at 10 p.m.
3. Hell's Kitchen
There's something about Gordon Ramsay screaming at people that makes for great television. If you want to watch another round of contestants severely under cook scallops, tune in to Fox on Friday, September 28 at 9 p.m.!
4. This Is Us
If you're in need of a good cry, season three is sure to deliver. NBC will be premiering the Emmy-winning show on Tuesday, September 25 at 9 p.m.
5. Criminal Minds
This is an important date to keep in mind. Executive producer Harry Bing said that season 14 currently has "15 [episodes] ordered with more possible if lots of things fall into place. Uncertain of that."
Generally, these "things" he's talking about refer to viewership and fan response. If you want to see Criminal Minds stick around for a long time, make sure you tune in Wednesday, September 26 at 10 p.m. on CBS.
6. NCIS
Despite Pauley Perrette's controversial departure, NCIS is still trucking on. CBS will be airing it on Tuesday, September 25 at 8 p.m.
7. The Big Bang Theory
A comedy that has lasted way longer than any of its competitors, The Big Bang Theory will be premiering in its new time slot on Thursday, September 27 at 8 p.m.
8. Chicago PD
This is one of the most successful spin-offs in recent history, and for good reason! Chicago PD is the cop show you didn't know you needed. Catch the season premiere on NBC on Wednesday, September 26 at 10 p.m.
9. Chicago Med
Before you check out PD, NBC will be airing the season premiere of Chicago Med right before it! Tune in at 8 p.m. on Wednesday September 26 on NBC to see your favorite doctors in action.
10. The Good Doctor
I'm going to go out on a limb and say this was the best new show of last year, and it's not even close. Dr. Shaun Murphy will be returning to your screen on Monday, September 24 at 10:01 p.m. (yes, 10:01) on ABC, though the cast may look a little different.
11. Dancing With The Stars
If you're wondering why The Good Doctor has a weird premiere time, you can thank Dancing with the Stars. The junior version of the reality show will be premiering on ABC on Monday, September 24 at 8 p.m. with a two hour (and one minute) premiere.
12. Madam Secretary
Political shows can be hit or miss, but Madam Secretary definitely delivers. You can catch the premiere at 10 p.m. on Sunday, October 7 on CBS.
13. The Voice
Don't miss your chance to witness the next big music star being discovered on Monday, September 24 at 8 p.m. on NBC.
14. Bull
When Michael Weatherly left NCIS, we were crushed. But luckily he came back right away with a new show. Season three will be premiering on Monday, September 24 at 10 p.m. on CBS.
15. The Goldbergs
This is my mom's favorite show without a shadow of a doubt, so she'll be thrilled to know this retro comedy is returning Wednesday, September 26 at 8 p.m. on ABC.
16. America's Funniest Home Videos
When you need a good laugh, AFV will never disappoint. The clip-centric show is returning Sunday, September 30 at 7 p.m. on ABC.
17. Seal Team
After Bones ended, I was worried we'd lose David Boreanaz on our TV screens for a while. I was wrong, and I'm so glad I was. The military drama will be premiering its new season on Wednesday, October 3 at 9 p.m. on CBS.
18. S.W.A.T.
Much like I was worried about losing Boreanaz, Shemar Moore leaving Criminal Minds was worrisome. But somehow the TV Gods are blessing me left, right, and center, and Moore is back on television with a new show. Catch S.W.A.T.'s new season on Thursday, September 27 at 10 p.m. on CBS.
19. Chicago Fire
To round off this list, we'll finish with the original show that started all the other Chicago series. Chicago Fire is returning after a dicey time of potential cancellation! Catch the newest season on NBC starting Wednesday, September 26 at 9 p.m.
