Part of the reason I love watching Dancing With the Stars is the intense connection between the performers.
Every season, there's at least one couple with real chemistry, and it makes their performances on the dance floor that much better.
In fact, a number of the show's pairs stayed together after the cameras stopped rolling, including Shark Tank host Robert Herjavec and his wife, dancer Kym Johnson.
The latest Stars couple to make things official are pro dancers Emma Slater and Sasha Farber, who famously popped the question to Slater on an episode of the hit show.
Backstage Romance
Slater and Farber both worked their way up from being background or "troupe" dancers to becoming partners with the show's celebrity contestants.
Farber, who is originally from Australia, danced with The Jersey Shore's Snooki, Facts of Life star Kim Fields, and most recently Olympic gymnast Simone Biles.
Slater, who is English, worked as the show's choreographer, but also paired up with celebrities including comedian Bill Engvall and Property Brothers star Drew Scott.
She even finished in first place while dancing with NFL star Rashad Jennings.
Farber and Slater fell in love while working on the show together, and performed on the series many times.
The Proposal
The couple's most memorable dance together was in 2016, when Farber dropped to his knee after a contemporary routine and asked Slater to marry him.
Ever since that romantic moment on live TV, the show's fans have been waiting for the couple to say their "I dos."
The pair finally tied the knot last week at a ceremony in Los Angeles, and their big day looked just as impressive as their performances together.
The Big Day
Almost two years after the Farber's romantic proposal, the couple finally walked down the aisle at a ceremony in Los Angeles.
The glowing bride wore a lace Rivini gown, while Farber was dressed in a matching white tuxedo.
Their wedding planner, Michael Russo, told US Weekly that their vows "had moments of both humor and heartfelt emotion."
And of course the couple shared their first dance, set to Ed Sheeran's "Perfect" with a special recorded message by the singer.
Many celebrity guests from the couples DWTS "family" were on hand too, including Julianne Hough, Nick and Vanessa Lachey, Drew Scott and Cheryl Burke.
The Couple That Dances Together, Stays Together
Fans often wonder if the dancers and their celebrity partners stay together after the show ends.
In fact, the dancers admit that they often become close with their partners, but few of the show's couples are still together to this day - aside from Herjavec and Johnson.
TV host Mario Lopez wound up dating his dance partner Karina Smirnoff for two years, but they have since split up.
The smitten Smirnoff confessed to People, "We actually tried to fight the attraction as long as we could. But obviously, that didn't last too long at all."
Best wishes to the happy couple!
