Even if you're not a hip hop fan, you probably remember listening to Eminem in the '90s and early 2000s.
The rapper's hit songs were playing non-stop during that era, and we heard them all over and over again.
We also learned a lot about Eminem's personal life, since he wasn't afraid to share it in his music.
Eminem's he-said she-said fights with Mariah Carey inspired a lot of songs, and so did his on-again off-again relationship with his ex-wife Kim Mathers.
The couple were married twice before they split up for good, and had a daughter together named Hailie Scott.
Eminem's inspiration
Eminem's relationship with his daughter was a running theme in his music. Hailie inspired songs like "Mockingbird" and "Castle," and was even featured on his song "My Dad's Gone Crazy."
As Eminem revealed, Hailie helped inspire him to succeed in the music industry before he had his big break.
"She has been my main source of drive and motivation, especially when she was first born," he explained.
"I didn't have a career yet, I didn't have money, I didn't have a place to live. I think that [motivated me] harder knowing, 'How am I going to raise her?'"
But in her teenage years, Hailie stepped out of the spotlight and lived a quiet life with her mother and half-siblings.
Whatever happened to Hailie?
Eminem's daughter attracted attention again in 2013, when the Macomb Daily reported she had been named homecoming queen of her high school.
Fellow students said the 17-year-old was a "smart, athletic and caring young woman."
While Kim raised her daughter in the quiet Chippewa Valley community outside Detroit, her father was no deadbeat dad.
One parent noticed that Eminem was watching his daughter being crowned homecoming queen. But he saw the ceremony from inside the school cafeteria, to avoid causing a scene.
Eminem even revealed he had patched things up with Kim. While they never got back together, it seems like they put their differences aside for Hailie's sake.
And with their help, Hailie has grown up to be an accomplished young woman.
Still "very close" with her famous dad
In a new interview with the Daily Mail, recent college graduate Hailie (feel old yet?) says she's "very close" with her father.
The 22-year-old is all grown up and has just earned a psychology degree from Michigan State University, where fellow students say she led "a normal life."
"[She] was in a sorority, she was popular and focused hard on her studies."
The recent grad says she has no idea what's in store for her now, but rules out following in her father's footsteps.
"I'm not sure yet," she said, "it's kind of up in the air, still."
While a music career is out, she could be a social media influencer. After all, her Instagram account has more than 900,000 followers.
And don't worry, Hailie's friends say her dad approves of Evan McClintock, Hailie's longtime boyfriend and the fellow MSU student she cozies up to in her photos.
