Isn't it great when you find something that's simple and stylish? Hold the phone, we've got you covered. Check out these ideas that you can ACTUALLY use at your shower.

Citrus Vases

The simple combination of citrus and flowers freshens a table right up.

What you need

  1. Flower bouquet of your choice
  2. Citrus fruit (Try lemon, Grapefruit, lime or orange.)
  3. Mason jars or vases
  4. Knife
  5. Cutting board

Cut the citrus into quarter inch rings and place them around the inside of the jar. Do your best to arrange the slices so that they are pressed up against the glass. If you can fit them together tightly they will stay put. Fill the jar with water and place your flowers inside. Voila.

Tip: If you're using a large vase you can place a smaller cup inside to help stabilize the citrus slices and hold your flowers. This also helps protect your flowers from water that is too acidic. If you need your flowers to last a few days consider faux flowers.

Wine Cork Card Holders

Love your wine? Create place card holders with your old wine corks. If you don't have any saved up, you can usually find them at a local craft store.

What you need

  1. Wine Corks
  2. Cutting Board
  3. Sharp Knife
  4. Paper or place cards

Use a knife and cut down the side of the cork to create a flat surface. When the cork lays steady on it's side, cut a slit down the center for a label card.

Tip: When making the cut for the label card, angle it a bit so the card faces up slightly. This makes it easier to read.

Embroidery Hoop Wreath

This craft is easy but it really makes an impact. Create a balloon garland and add some of the same flowers that you use on your wreath and voila, decorations complete. Embroidery hoops are available in different sizes so making a few wreaths of different sizes looks great.

What you need

  1. Embroidery hoop
  2. Faux flowers of your choice (try peonies and greenery)
  3. Scissors or wire cutters (for flowers)
  4. Glue gun
  5. Twine (if you choose to add an additional loop for hanging)

Cut the stems from the faux flowers (you might need wire cutters for this but we used scissors). Turn your embroidery hoop upside down so that the metal part is hidden by the floral decoration. Heat your glue gun and apply glue to the back of your faux plants. Stick each piece to your embroidery hoop to create the flower arrangement that you like best.

Tip: Arrange the flowers slightly off center for a modern, no fuss look. Try using dental floss to hang black and white photos, the wedding date or letters in the center of the wreath

Donut Pops

Small, delicious and no fuss. Donut pops are a great addition to your bridal shower buffet.

Shared

What you need

  1. Lolipop sticks
  2. Ribbon in the color of your choice
  3. Donut holes (two per stick)
  4. Scissors

Tie the ribbons around the lolipop sticks to create small bows. Use the scissors to trim the ends down to your desired length. Slip one donut hole completely onto the stick and top it off with the second donut hole. Make sure that the stick doesn't puncture through the donut on top. Adjust the bow and place the donut pop on a stick or stand.

Tip: Try dipping part of the top donut in chocolate or frosting in the color scheme of your shower.

Floral Ice Cubes

Add a pretty finish to your ice bucket or cocktails. The key to suspending flowers in your ice-cubes is to freeze them in layers.

Shared

What you need

  1. Large Ice cube tray
  2. Boiled distilled water (for clear ice)
  3. Flowers (edible / culinary flowers if you plan to use the ice for drinks)
  4. Scissors
  5. Freezer

Take your fresh flowers and cut them so that one flower fits in each cavity of you ice tray. Set these aside. Boil distilled water and let it cool. Use the water to fill the cavities half full then add a flower to each cube. Placing the flower head down will mean that it shows well on the face of the ice cube. Freeze the tray. Once the first half is frozen, fill the remainder of the ice cube tray with the distilled water and freeze it again. Pop out your floral ice cubes and use as you please.

Tip: Dark and bright colors like purple and green tend to show up best in your ice cubes. Try pansies, lavender, mint or marigolds.
