Simon Biles is an Olympic champion and a pretty amazing person. She is competing on Dancing With The Stars and her progress on the show is amazing.
Recently, they had a week where they dedicated a dance to the "Most Memorable Year" and while you would have thought Simone would have chosen her journey to the Olympics, she actually went with something much more personal and heartfelt: The story of her adoption.
She shares the story through tears of how her birth mother struggled with drug addiction when she was young and was in and out of jail. She was placed into foster care, but remembers how it felt to finally go home to her grandparent's house and get to stay. They adopted her and ever since she has called them mom and dad.
Her partner Sasha Farber choreographed a waltz to "Good Good Father" dedicated to her parents and the emotions ran high while she performed. Immediately after completing her dance, she couldn't help but rush into the arms of her parents.
She said that "My parents saved me. They've set huge examples of how to treat other people and they've been there to support me since day one. There's nothing I could say to them to thank them enough. Even though there's no right words, maybe dance will say it for me."
The dance really speaks for itself and you can see just how grateful she is. Check it out below, it'll make you want to hug your parents right away!
