It was widely reported yesterday that Duane "Dog" Chapman was hospitalized over the weekend after suffering what could have been a heart attack.
TMZ has learned that he did not have a heart attack over the weekend, but he's not in the clear either.
They were told that doctors performed multiple tests but in the end it appears that what happened over the weekend seems to be stress and blood pressure-related. The most important detail was that, thankfully, doctors are confident it was not a full-blown heart attack. After performing an angiogram, results came back normal.
Following his stint in hospital, Dog is said to be recuperating at home.
His daughter Bonnie shared some words of encouragement on Instagram on Monday night.
She shared this childhood pic with showing a young Dog and Beth with family. Bonnie wrote: "Love you, pops."
Of course Dog's family is worried about him. There has been talk that Dog has had trouble handling the stress associated with Beth's death. This has been coupled with high blood pressure, and the chest pains he experienced over the weekend were scary and a cumulative effect of those events.
This stint in the hospital followed the death of he beloved wife Beth Chapman. Her grieving husband recently told Entertainment Tonight that "you're never, ever prepared" to deal with that kind of loss.
"You can't prepare. There is no way," he said. I did not know that this was going to happen that day... There is not another Beth. There'll never be another Beth. There ain't a girl built like another Beth."
