Calling all dog lovers and Netflix binge-watchers, there's a new documentary series coming to the streaming service that will not only warm your heart, but make you cry ugly tears.
Netflix is coming out with a new original docuseries on "six stories of unconditional love between humans and their best friends."
Every episode has a different storyline, which is what makes this series so interesting. You get to follow the inspirational journey between people from around the world and their dogs.
"Dogs don't just make us feel loved, dogs make us feel safe," Glen Zipper, the executive producer of the show, told Variety. "In the world we live in today, no matter how divided we are, we should take care to realize how much dogs mean to all of us, and how our bond with them can help bring us together."
For example, the first episode follows an 11-year-old girl who suffers from traumatic seizures, and how she copes with that disability with the help of her service dog, Roy.
Another episode tells the story of Ayham, a Syrian man who fled his war-torn country, but is willing to risk everything to bring his dog Zeus across the border from Syria to Lebanon.
"In times of division, volatility and confusion "˜Dogs' is an emotional palate cleanse," producer Amy Berg said. "Watching the show offers a salve for the spirit and reminds us of the redemptive power of love."
What's particularly unique about this series is that it will explore just how amazing these loyal animals are and how they have a special ability to change human lives.
"I think we're just scraping the surface of what dogs can really do," someone from the trailer said.
People who've watched the trailer said they couldn't hold back their tears.
"I'm already fighting back tears, I can't handle this show. Dogs are just... so pure. It makes me wanna hug mine and never let them go."
"I'm already crying. We don't deserve doggos."
"Dogs are our soulmates. All animals have a special place alongside us."
I think we can all relate to this comment below:
"You had me at Dogs...."
There will be a whole lot of crying, but also a good amount of laughing too!
