Are you tired of constantly having to dig through the cupboard in order to find that bag of tasty treats for your four legged friends? You try and move them into a different spot that makes them more accessible, but you still find yourself either digging through something or trying to hide the ugliness of the treat bag...well, no more!
These adorable DIY Terra Cotta Dog Treat Holders are simple to make and a super cute way to display your pet's treats. The best part is that you can customize it however you like!
My daughter was actually the one that came up with the idea of making a "special" treat holder for our family dog, so that's when I went on search for ideas and came across this. Luckily enough I already had most of the items at home and only had to purchase one thing to complete this...that's how easy it is!
Feel free to paint it and decorate it however you'd like! Get the kids involved in this DIY project and then fill the bowl with so many delicious treats for your family friend....he or she will be very thankful you did!
1. Begin by painting your terra cotta pot and saucer whatever color you desire. Set aside to dry completely. Apply a second coat if needed.
2. Paint the wood ball whatever color you would like and set aside to dry.
3. Once your items are fully dry, use your hot glue gun and glue the wood knob to the bottom of the saucer, and also glue the glass bowl to the bottom of the pot. Set both aside to dry.
4. Decorate the pot and saucer however you would like....paint pictures on it, place stickers on it, or simply add a ribbon for a little something.
5. Lastly, fill the bowl with your pets favorite treats and place the lid on top.
