The best part about making things yourself, is that you can make it look however you like or work with the materials you have on hand.

Instead of wooden knobs, you can also add fun plastic figurines to the top of your candy machine. Just make sure to paint them the same color as the lid and use hot glue to secure them in place.

You can also add stickers or make cut-outs that you can use to decorate your candy machine. Cats, ghosts, pumpkins, bats or spiders would all work perfectly for Halloween.

Check out this fun candy machine! It's painted to look like candy corn AND is filled with actual candy corn - genius!

You can get extra creative and make something like this mummy candy machine. Just add some gauze, googly eyes and white paint.
