Reality star Darrell "the Gambler" Sheets is recuperating in hospital and awaiting surgery after suffering a heart attack.
The Storage Wars cast member revealed in an Instagram post he has been sick for three months, and suffered a mild heart attack several days ago.
Sheets said he would undergo a surgery on Tuesday, and that he had been diagnosed with congestive heart failure and a "severe" lung condition.
A fan-favorite for his bold bidding on storage lockers, the treasure hunter told his followers he "wasn't going to say anything" before the procedure, but felt compelled to because "you have all been the greatest friends and fans."
"Today I am having surgery so all your prayers would be deeply appreciated," he wrote, while sharing a photo of himself in a hospital gown alongside his fiance, Romney Snyder.
"Thank you for being there for me. It's been a great #storagewars and as you can see Romney is right by my side. Love you Rom."
If anyone has luck on their side, it's Sheets. Him and his son, Brandon, have found four Picasso paintings and a very profitable comic collection while bidding on storage lockers.
