I can't imagine the fear that must take over when you're on a plane and something seems to go wrong. I've experienced slight turbulence before, and because I'm anxious I work myself up over it, but nothing has actually gone wrong on one of my flights.
However, Friends co-stars Courteney Cox and Jennifer Aniston experienced that fear firsthand, and even though everything is okay, Cox was so scared she texted her daughter just in case something went wrong. Cox and Aniston were on their way to Mexico on a private jet for Aniston's 50th birthday party, and right from take off Cox knew there was an issue.
"I'm not afraid of flying at all... my dad was a pilot... but I was really scared, because when we were taking off, we heard this really loud bang and I was like, "˜Oh, that sounds like we should probably check that tire."
But checking the tire wasn't an option at all, because the tire had actually exploded.
"There was no tire at all, there was no wheel," Cox revealed. "Luckily, there are two wheels on each side and two in the front."
The flight made its way to Cabo, but when they got there it was determined that it wasn't safe to land, so they were sent back to L.A. The plane was forced to circle the airport for four hours to burn fuel, just in case something happened during the landing. This is when Cox started to get a little nervous.
"I have to say, we were in the air for four hours, burning off fuel and just thought of what it is going to be like when we land..."
She didn't want to worry her 14-year-old daughter Coco, but Cox also didn't want to miss the chance to say what could be her last words to her child. She opted to send a simple, yet what could have proven to been heartbreaking text message to both Coco and her fiancé.
"I sent a little text to Coco, "˜I love you,' I didn't say why, and to Johnny... I told him everything that was going on and I FaceTimed him after," Cox revealed.
In the end, the landing was "really smooth" and everyone was fine, but for Cox to feel so worried that she might not make it, it must have been really terrifying to be in the air. Eventually, Aniston and Cox made it to Cabo to celebrate Aniston's birthday, with stars like Kate Hudson and Gwenyth Paltrow.

We're glad everyone made it out safe, and that the situation wasn't more serious.
