For Dale Sharpe, a photographer, creativity often comes easy but when it came to one of the biggest moments of his life, he had to make sure that his creativity was in full gear.
On March 6th, the Australian landscape and wedding photographer proposed to his girlfriend of seven years, Karlie Russell with the most spectacular backdrop, the Northern Lights in Lofoten Islands, Norway!
After Sharpe's initial proposal failed when he accidentally threw away the ring while on a trip to Iceland, he was determined to get it perfect the second time.
The couple share a passion for photography and had taken countless pictures of the Northern Lights together so it only made sense to have the proposal take place under them 7 years to the day of their first date. Can this story be any sweeter?!
"I hadn't heard or seen anyone do it before, and I wanted to do something different from everybody else," Sharpe told Daily Mail Australia
Sharpe tricked Russell into taking a selfie then when the Aurora Borealis started glowing, he got down on one knee and popped the question.
Check out some of the pictures from the jaw-dropping proposal below. I can only image how amazing their wedding photos will be.
