We all know and love the Pumpkin Spice Latte. It's a trend that has swept the nation for years, and now it seems like you can get everything in pumpkin spice flavor. The one downside of the pumpkin spiced latte, in my opinion, is that there's no chocolate. I love chocolate with everything, so I thought that was just a complaint from me. It turns out, there are a lot of people who think like that...and that's where the Cinderella Latte comes in!
Now, this drink isn't necessarily new. It's off the secret menu, and some baristas will know it as a White Tiger. However, Instagram user HappiestTeesOnEarth who is a Seattle-based barista, really popularized the drink in 2018.
I worked as a barista for 7 years at two local Starbucks locations and it was there at the George Hopper store that I first named this delicious beverage The Cinderella Latte. (Named that because it’s a white pumpkin 🎃✨)It was my way to spread a little magic and happiness to my customers and coworkers. It quickly became “a thing” and you could order it without explaining the recipe to the barista because they all knew!! I can’t tell you how many customers were smiling just upon hearing about the drink name.
I was thrilled to share it here on Instagram with all of you last year and now to all our new Happiest followers! Go try one today!!
The recipe is super easy, too. It basically combines the White Chocolate Mocha with a Pumpkin Spice Latte. Talk about delicious. HappiestTeesOnEarth gave the exact recipe.
CINDERELLA LATTE RECIPE:- Order a Pumpkin Spice Latte
- Can be made hot, iced or a blended Frappuccino.-
Sub half of the Pumpkin Spice pumps with White Mocha (Or if you have a real sweet tooth, try full pumps of each! 😉)
The white pumpkin reminded me of Cinderella’s coach and that’s why I call it the Cinderella Latte 🎃✨
The woman also shared a fun experience of going back to where she first popularized the drink and how the barista was so excited to hear about it.
Yesterday I had the happiest experience at the @starbucks I used to work at. I pulled up to the window and the barista and I started visiting about Cinderella Lattes. She very excitedly told me “they’re all over the internet!!” It was in that moment I realized she had no idea of my connection to her shop or the Cinderella Latte. You should have seen her face when I told her she was working in the shop where the magic began 🎃✨ Now I’m sure she’ll be telling everyone about the Cinderella Latte and the shop it all began in
This absolutely sounds like something I'd love to try. It's a blend of some of my favorite things: fall, pumpkin spice lattes, chocolate, and Disney. What more could you ask for?
