As Christmas nears, people are doing all the usual things to get into the holiday spirit. You've got Christmas movies to watch, presents to buy, and cookies to bake, but apparently that's not good enough.
When it comes to the internet, people are constantly trying to one-up each other, getting to be the next trending and viral sensation. This holiday season some Instagram users have taken to creating a new Christmas tradition that has a lot of us thinking "but why?"
The newest trend is another beauty trend, because of course it is, but it's not exactly a style you're going to want to wear out in public. Well, maybe you will, I can't decide that for you.
They are calling them "Christmas Eyebrows" and oh boy, are they ever a sight.
What is a "Christmas Eyebrow" you ask? Well, beauty gurus and enthusiasts are decorating their eyebrows in spirit of the holiday season. Whether it's a Christmas tree look or maybe a festive hat, their eyebrows are fully festive and it's quite the bizarre sight.
The brows definitely have a pretty distinct look to them. They've got little stars and ornaments on them and they spread out in all different directions. It's kind of strange because it seems like one of the inspiration posts for this trend actually was posted last year. But it's caught on in a big way.
Others look more natural in their shape but they have gems glued on to look like hanging decorations.
I don't know that this is a look that you're going to see at any Christmas celebrations this year, but it's certainly taking over Instagram.
The tiny hats are an interesting touch...
Some people go pretty hard with the green glitter to make sure they look like trees.
It looks like it could be a lot of fun to play around and try, but I can only imagine getting all of that glitter out of your eyebrows would be a pain.
Even just a subtle red and green look really takes a normal makeup look to that extra level, doesn't it.
So, what do you think? Are you going to try out these Christmas Eyebrows?
I think I'm going to skip this one, but if you give it a try post your version in the Facebook comments so everyone can see!
