As a child, Montana beat cancer twice. The first time was at the age of 2, and then again at 15. She has not given up fighting the disease now that she is cancer-free, though.
As a youngster, she dreamed of one day becoming a pediatric nurse and having an impact on kids going through the same obstacles she had to face in her childhood.
And her dreams have now come true.
Now, at 24-years-old Montana Brown is working as a pediatric nurse at Children's Healthcare in Atlanta, Georgia.
For Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, Montana was able to fulfill her dream by returning to the hospital, but as part of the nursing team.

She recalls how happy it made her to look down and see her badge with the Children's Healthcare of Atlanta logo on it.
"I'm so overwhelmed with this amazing life that God has chosen to give me. Never in a million years did I think that at the age of 24 I would have achieved my biggest and wildest dream," she continued.
She reflected about her connection to the hospital, and how much it means to her to be able to help other people who may be going through a similar experience.
"To work at the hospital I was treated at as a child/teenager. It's amazing and crazy and awesome and I'm SO excited to work for such an inspirational organization!!" she wrote.
