I'm always looking for quick and easy recipes that work for lunch, dinner, or even a snack, and I love these Cheeseburger Bombs for fitting the bill.
Make a batch of these easily with just a tube of refrigerated pizza dough, and pack them full of ground beef, bacon, and all your favorite cheeseburger toppings! Sprinkle on some sesame seeds and bake for a meal your whole family will love!
Ingredients:
- 5 slices bacon, diced
- 1 pound ground beef
- ½ cup onion, diced
- Salt and pepper
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 3 teaspoons diced pickles
- 1 egg
- 1 roll of pizza dough
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, grated
- 1 egg yolk, whisked
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Fry the bacon in medium skillet until crispy, then add ground beef, onions and salt and pepper. Stir periodically until beef is completely cooked.
- Drain beef of excess grease and pour into a bowl, add mustard, ketchup, pickles and egg, then stir until combined. Set aside.
- Roll out the pizza dough, use a cookie cutter to cut 12 circles and place 1 tablespoon of cheese on the dough circles then 1 tablespoon of ground beef. Form the portions into balls and close them well by squeezing the dough.
- Put the balls on a baking tray. Brush with egg yolk and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake 15 minutes or until golden.
