This is an old family recipe handed down from generation to generation. Yes, grandma loved her champagne jello shots and could down them like a champ! Okay okay...all joking aside, these Champagne Jello Shots are a super fun adult treat to bring to that New Year's Eve party you've been thinking about.
There's only four ingredients and it couldn't be simpler to put these together. The results are impressive - and look fabulous served on an elegant platter. Happy New Year to us!
Ingredients:
- 1 bottle of champagne.
- 3 sachets of unflavored gelatin
- 3 tablespoons of sugar
- Pink and/or gold sugar for decoration (optional)
Directions:
Pour 1.5 cups of champagne into a saucepan with the sugar and sprinkle the gelatin over the surface. Wait about 3-5 minutes for the gelatin to soften, then gently warm the mixture, stirring until the gelatin and sugar have dissolved.
Remove from the heat and stir in the rest of the champagne.
Pour into a small tray or silicone molds, refrigerate until set (about 3 hours).
Using a sharp knife that has been heated in hot water (and dried), slice the jello into small 1 inch squares, or gently pop out from molds. Sprinkle with decorative sugar and place on a pretty tray for serving.
