Celebrities love to switch things up when we least expect them to. This week, Celine Dion did just that when she changed her hairdo.
The "My Heart Will Go On" singer has been rocking the same hairstyle for a while now, so fans were really surprised when she debuted a blonder 'do complete with bangs.
The 50-year-old, who was in Tokyo, Japan for her first show on the Asian leg of her tour, didn't acknowledge her hair makeover in her caption, instead she wrote, "Tonight is the night! Tokyo, are you ready?"
While some users were quick to embrace Celine's new look, there were some who had some awful things to say.
"NO NO NO!" wrote one fan, while another called it "horrible." Someone said it made the "Power of Love" singer look 15 years older.
"The fake blonde color ages her terribly and is just so off-putting. She's just absolutely gorgeous with her natural locks," they added.
Celine didn't seem too bothered by the divide in opinion as she was again spotted with her new locks when she visited the cast of Cirque Du Soleil's Kurios show in Japan.
Throwback to one of our first days in Japan. Thank you for the amazing #Kurios time @cirquedusoleil !" read the caption of the group photo on Instagram.
However, the singer created a lot of confusion after she shared a photo from her Japan concert where she's sporting her signature hairstyle instead of the new one.
Many started speculating that Celine didn't actually change her hair, she was probably just wearing a wig.
Even if it wasn't a wig, longtime Celine fans are used to the singer having unique hairstyles over the years.
When she first broke into the scene, Celine was rocking an on trend perm.
Inspired by Jennifer Aniston's Friends character, the "Because You Loved Me Singer" opted for a choppy and layered "Rachel" haircut in the mid-90s.
Celine entered the new millennium with a blonde pixie cut.
She showed off even blonder locks at the 2003 Billboard Awards.
As her hair grew longer, she debuted full, soft bangs in 2004.
Celine has allowed her hair to grow longer since then, and for the last 10 years, she's pretty much had the same hairstyle.
