Seriously, who are we without our friends? We bring out the best in each other, and it's always a good time when we get together.
There are so many Hollywood girl squads that we gain inspiration from, and we would gladly join their group if we could.
Here are 15 girl groups who are as precious as our own friends.
1. Mary and Rhoda
I grew up watching The Mary Tyler Moore Show with my mom, which is probably why I have such a great sense of humor (or so I'd like to believe).
For seven years we followed the hilarious lives of these two single and working friends.
When I was a kid, I desperately wanted to find a friend like Rhoda, since I felt that I was more like Mary.
They taught us that your husband isn't your only soulmate, your friends can be too.
2. SNL Women
Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Maya Rudolph, Ana Gasteyer, and Rachel Dratch brought Saturday Night Live to life!
The best part about these funny gals is that they still stay in touch every day through group text, despite their busy schedules. Only true friends would do something like that.
I still replay their skits and cry with laughter. I wish my friends and I were that funny, but we have our days.
3. Golden Girls
I used to dread growing older because that meant retiring and having absolutely no idea what to do with your free time.
But ... if you have friends like Dorothy, Blanche, Rose, or Sophia, retirement is something you'll undoubtedly be looking forward to.
Especially if you're single and are able to hang out with the people that make you smile every day.
Even when they fought it was funny. There's never a dull moment if you have friends like the characters on the Golden Girls.
4. Charlie's Angels
Whether you love the original or the remake with Drew Barrymore, Lucy Liu, and Cameron Diaz, these iconic girls are the coolest gals in the world.
They give sexy and strong a whole other meaning.
It's nice that we all can identify with at least one of the characters. Each one has their own strengths and quirks that made them feel like part of our own group of friends.
5. Spice Girls
This English pop group's songs are still on repeat in my house, car, and at all my friend's parties.
These five girls looked rad, had the most catchy songs, and were great dancers. Those were very important qualities as a young adult in the '90s.
The Spice Girls always brought my friends together to dance and have a good time. We'd each choose which group member we wanted to be and had a lot of fun lip syncing to them.
These next girl squads are so relatable...
6. Gilmore Girls
Sometimes your best friend doesn't have to be your age, she could be your mom.
The saying blood runs thicker than water rings true every time you turn on an episode of this early 2000s classic.
Lorelai and Rory's lives are so relatable. They're basically like sisters who live in a small town and go through the ups and downs of life while trying to remain strong.
It's a basic storyline, but these two characters have such great chemistry.
If I could have an ounce of the relationship with my mom that Rory has with hers, my life would be complete.
7. Clueless
Even though Cher, Dionne, and Tai have different personalities, they are such great friends, which is really what made this movie so great.
Most girls think that you can only be friends with people who are exactly like you, but that's not true at all.
Cher breaks that preppy girl stereotype by introducing Tai to her circle of friends. So, if a preppy girl can do it, we can too.
8. The Pink Ladies Club
The Pink Ladies from Grease are a group of sassy girls that everyone envies. Even their names are cool: Rizzo, Frenchy, Marty, and Jan.
In hindsight, these girls are probably not the best influence, but it was fun to imagine being part of this close-knit group when I watched the movie in high school.
Also, who didn't have a closet-full of these bright pink jackets?
9. The 9-5 Girls
Not all friendships are formed in school. Some of the most amazing people you can meet are in your workplace.
The characters that Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin, and Dolly Parton played are hysterical.
It's as if these three were destined to be friends - and mess with their boss, but that's beside the point.
I still laugh every time I think of their shenanigans.
10. Cagney and Lacey
These two strong female leads brought out the female power in all of us.
We loved the girl groups that made us laugh, but it was nice to watch Cagney and Lacey solve crimes and keep the streets safe.
This show also made us realize that girls don't have to be necessarily "girly," they can be assertive, intelligent, and brave too.
These next girl squads have a special place in our hearts...
11. The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants
These four girls spent an adventurous summer exchanging a magical pair of jeans that perfectly fits all of them.
We all know that you have to reach a certain level of friendship to be willing to exchange your favorite clothes, which is why this girl squad is so lovable.
What I loved best about this girl group was that they all had different personalities, and yet they got along so well.
Like in the movie Clueless, these teenage girls prove that friendship can only happen when you keep your heart open.
12. Sex and the City
You know a friendship is strong when no man can come between your girlfriends.
If Carrie, Samantha, Miranda, and Charlotte aren't friend goals, I don't know who is.
A lot of people have been deterred from watching this show because "sex" is in the title, but that's not really what the show is all about.
It's about being an intelligent women in a big city and forming a strong bond with your girlfriends. Isn't that all we want in life?
13. TLC
This '90s R&B girl group from Atlanta inspired us to let loose and adopt a new fashion style.
They had the most interesting hairstyles, brightest clothes, and the most rad accessories.
The original line-up of Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins, Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes and Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas was the best.
My friends and I always got excited every time we heard one of their songs on the radio.
They're also the reason why all my childhood friends have a cool nickname.
14. The Baby-Sitters Club
The coming-of-age classic is still one of the greatest movies for young girls today.
My sister and I would watch this movie at least once a month, wishing that our friends were as cool as these middle schools gals.
They instilled in us the value of friendship and the importance of having a close-knit group of friends that you can count on for the rest of your life.
At that point, you're not friends anymore, you're basically sisters.
15. Kardashian-Jenners
The K-squad consists of Kris Jenner and her daughters Kim, Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian, and Kendall and Kylie Jenner.
Some people love the Keeping up with the Kardashians stars, and other hate them with a passion.
Whatever your opinion is about them, you can't deny that you're influenced by their beauty trends.
When we want to get all dolled up, we try our best to imitate the "Queen of Contouring."
