Going from TV to the White House just seems like the new thing to do now.
Although none of these celebrities have much experience in politics, their public personas and net worth may get them closer at a chance to conduct their country's affairs in the Oval Office.
Here are 8 celebrities that may appear on the 2020 election ballot.
1. Dwayne Johnson
The man who has a heart bigger than his body may be not the worst candidate for the President of the United States. He recently landed a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, but does he have what it takes to appear on the U.S. President's gallery?
The Rock says he would "100% consider" running for office. "This past election shows anything can happen," he told Vanity Fair. "It would be a great opportunity to help people, so it's possible."
In a tweet, he linked an article petitioning him to run: "Maybe one day. Surely the White House has a spot for my pick up truck."
Will he save the bedrock of America?
2. Mark Zuckerberg
The self-made billionaire and CEO of Facebook may one day run for office. Zuckerberg says he wants to focus on bettering his social media platform, but there are many signs that point to a different goal.
Zuckerberg has reportedly been on a "listening tour" in which he's traveled to all 50 states talking to powerful politicians. He's also hired several politicians, such as David Plouffe, campaign manager for Obama's 2008 presidential run, Amy Dudley, former communications adviser for Sen. Tim Kaine, and Ken Mehlman, who directed President George W. Bush's 2004 re-election campaign. It's a little fishy, don't you agree?
3. Will Smith
The Pursuit of Happiness actor has been battling issues out on social media ever since Trump was elected into office.
"If people keep saying all the crazy kinds of stuff they've been saying on the news lately about walls and Muslims, they're going to force me into the political arena," he said, according to People Magazine.
Smith said he was joking about running for president, but he seemed dead-sure when he told CBS that he'd run, right after Trump got elected in 2015.
4. Kanye West
Can you just imagine a world run by the most controversial man in Hollywood.
The first tease came during the 2015 MTV VMAs when West said, "And yes, as you probably could have guessed by this moment, I have decided in 2020 to run for president."
I don't think we could have guessed it, but his announcement definitely didn't take us by surprise.
These next celebrities really think they have a shot of winning...
5. Oprah
Will "a new day be on the horizon" if the billionaire media mogul runs for President? After she was honored with the Cecile B. DeMille award at the 2018 Golden Globe Awards, celebrities and fans encouraged her to become a player in the 2020 presidential election.
Oprah Winfrey's longtime partner Stedman Graham told the Los Angeles Times that she would "absolutely" run for President, but "it's up to the people." Oprah also retweeted an article calling her "Democrats' best hope for 2020," and said that Donald Trump's election made her feel qualified to run for president.
6. Kevin Hart
It seems like some celebrities are waiting for others to announce that they're running for office before they do. Kevin Hart, the comedian, says he will announce his bid to run if he's running against The Rock.
"The world wanted to see that and he didn't go with me, so I'm not rooting for DJ," he said. "If Dwayne Johnson runs for president, I will be running for president the same year. And I can announce my VP right now, and it's somebody I love -- it's my son!"
7. Chris Rock
The comedian announced that he may be running for president on Twitter in late 2016.
Let's hope it was all jokes.
8. Katy Perry
Katy Perry has shown to be interested in politics ever since she was working hard to get Hillary Clinton elected. However, hanging out with politicians and taking pictures with them doesn't make her qualified. Nevertheless, the "Teenage Dream" singer posted a photo on Instagram standing between the 42nd and 43rd President of the United States.
In the caption she wrote: "42, 43, 46?!" Could that mean she wants to be the 46th?
