Tattoos are a life commitment, unless you want to spend a lot of money trying to remove it.
These actors could definitely afford getting their skin back to its original pigment, but for some of them it's just easier to pretend the tattoo is not there.
They can go pretending all they want, we can see these tattoos, and we have a lot of opinions about them.
1. Ben Affleck
After receiving a lot of hate for his colorful phoenix tattoo in 2015, the actor told reporters that it was "fake for a movie."
In 2018, he was photographed with the exact same tattoo. In the photo above, it looks like he's rushing to get out of the water and clothe himself.
2. Tom Arnold
Love makes you do crazy things. Crazy like spending half a day tattooing your wife's face on your chest, and then divorcing her not too long after.
"On Valentine's Day that year I said I'm going to save the marriage and got a twelve-hour tattoo of her face on my chest," the comedian admitted to TMZ. "Stupidest thing I ever did."
3. Kendall Jenner
When the television personality revealed she's hiding a secret tattoo, we were all dying to know where. It turned out to be inside her bottom lip.
She chose to tattoo "meow" there so that she would say she has a tattoo on her face.
4. Adam Levine
We've seen numerous tattoos of The Voice coach over the years, but the strangest tattoo of them all is the mermaid inked on his back.
Well, the tattoo apparently started out as a mermaid before it turned into something spine-chilling.
5. Eva Longoria
I know what you're thinking: Why does the actress have small pieces of wood tattooed on her neck.
Actually, the tattoo is the number nine spelled out. Whoever inked her needs to stay away from kindergarten stencils.
Longoria got this tattoo when she married Tony Parker, the professional basketball player who was number nine on his city's team. When they got divorced, she had the tattoo removed.

6. Mike Tyson
Face tattoos are a hit-or-miss. The superstar boxer's face ink is definitely a miss.
Tyson got tribal ink on the left side of his face to illustrate his "warrior status."
"I thought it was so hot. I just thought it was a cool tattoo," he said. If it was so cool then why was it mocked in the movie Hangover 2?
Believe it or not, Tyson first requested his face to be covered in heart tattoos so that he'd be known as "The Man of Hearts." His tattoo artist told him that's not a good idea. I'm glad he listened.
7. Hayden Panettiere
You'd think celebrities have access to the most talented and professional tattoo artists in the world. Maybe they do, but how can you explain a mistake like this.
The actress's tattoo artist misspelled "Live Without Regrets" in Italian, forcing her to get the mantra removed.
8. Angelina Jolie
Another rookie mistake. Fifty percent of marriages end in divorce, and after getting divorced once, you'd think the actress would be a bit more careful in her second marriage.
Not at all. She not only wore a necklace with Billy Bob Thornton's blood in it, she also got a tattoo of a dragon and his name on her left arm.
She replaced the tattoo with the birthplace coordinates of all her kids.
9. Pamela Anderson
The '90s sex symbol may have been able to remove her barbed wire tattoo, but the images of her with it will never be erased on the internet - and my mind.
Anderson thinks her tattoos are becoming "eyesores," but we've been trying to tell that to her for a while now...

The fashion designer got "Virgin" tattooed on her wrist because she belongs to the astrological sign of Virgo.
Why she couldn't just go with Virgo is beyond me. I don't think there's anyone in the world who would look at that tattoo and think of astrology, rather than what the word actually means.

In fact, these lines were drawn by his ex-wife, Angelina Jolie. I want to say they were drunk, but the lines are quite straight.

Miley wanted to show Liam Hemsworth how much she loves him by getting a Vegemite tattoo.
For those who don't know what that is, according to Wikipedia, it's a "thick, black Australian food spread made from leftover brewers's yeast extract with various vegetable and spice additives."
I can't say that sounds delicious.
