There's a new member of the Teen Mom family, and she's got an interesting! Catelynn and Tyler Baltierra recently welcomed their third child together, a little baby girl, and her name is definitely unique.
The Baltierra's announced they were expecting in September of 2018. They called her their "rainbow baby," as it was her first pregnancy after miscarrying.
"The big news is that we are expecting our rainbow baby," Catelynn said. "This baby is our rainbow after the storm. I'm super excited. It was a huge shock at first. We were not planning it, especially after the miscarriage and how I went downhill with my mental illness. We were going to wait a really long time. We were using protection and everything and still got pregnant. This baby just wanted to be here. It was very unexpected."
The couple had originally announced that their daughter's name would be Tezlee, keeping it similar to their other daughter Novalee. Their first daughter, Carly, was given up for adoption when the couple was 16.
"We were looking at names and we were just writing it down and I don't know," Tyler said in an interview about the name. "I saw Lesley and I'm like, "˜No, not Lesley.' It's kinda weird. We just put different words together, letters together. We wanted to keep Lee in there 'cause [of our daughter] Novalee, so we just played around with it and then Tezlee [came up]."
But as with all things in life, nothing is permanent. It's not clear when the parents changed their minds on the name, but when their daughter was introduced to the wold, she had a different name than people were expecting.
The Baltierras went with the name Vaeda Luma, and as of right now they haven't explained the significance of the name. According to some online searches, it's derived from the Sanskrit name Veda, and mean knowledge.
So far only one picture of the newborn has been shared by Tyler on his Instagram account.
"Welcome home Vaeda! Mommy & Daddy love you so much & can't wait to watch you grow with love in this crazy family of ours! 🥰ðŸ˜ðŸ˜" he wrote on Instagram.
Vaeda wanted to come early, according to Catelynn, who posted on Instagram a week before the baby was born, saying she was dilated to 3 and having contractions.
"Not contractions that take my breath away but she really wants to come soon! But I could also be like this for dayyysss so we shall see what she wants to do lol!"
Catelynn and Tyler had previously announced they were separating to focus on themselves, but it seems as though this baby has ended that separation.
Welcome to the world, little Vaeda!
