Shortly after hosting the CMA Awards around this time last year, Carrie Underwood took a nasty fall that left her with severe injuries. The country superstar's recovery was a long process as she not only suffered a broken wrist, she also needed between 40 and 50 stitches on her face.

Still, the "Cry Pretty" singer told fans that she was "determined to make 2018 amazing," and would be sharing updates about her life and career along the way.

It took six months, but Underwood finally made her comeback at the ACM Awards, then revealed that she was releasing a new album, going on tour in 2019, and expecting her second child with husband Mike Fisher.

The American Idol winner shared the big news about their family in a video posted on her social media accounts in August.

"Yay! Mike and Isaiah and I are absolutely over the moon and excited to be adding another little fish to our pond," Underwood shared. "This has just been a dream come true with [the] album and with baby news, we're just so excited!"

Fans have since been speculating about the gender of Underwood's baby, many predicting that it was a girl because Underwood wore a pink jacket during the announcement.

The singer later denied the rumors, saying it was too early to find out, but she then left everyone in the dark, until now.

Underwood once again returned as the host of the CMA Awards, and while carrying out her duties, her longtime co-host Brad Paisley reminded her about the time he "accidentally" shared Underwood's secret.

"Hey, remember last time when I accidentally revealed the gender of your baby?" Paisley asked.

"I mean, who could ever forget #BradBlewIt?" Underwood replied before Paisley tried to get her to reveal if her upcoming baby is a boy or girl.

"Seriously Carrie, give me a little baby hint? Johnny or June? Keith or Nicole. Garth or Trisha. Tim or Faith. George or Tammy. Waylon or Willie?"

Thankfully, Paisley was able to coerce the expecting mom into spilling the beans, revealing that she and her NHL player husband are having another boy.

"Oh my gosh "” Willie, it's a Willie ok!?" Underwood, who won the award for female vocalist of the year, said.

The singer's rep later confirmed the news to People. The new addition will join the couple's three-year-old son Isaiah Michael.
