Michael Buble Sings A Country Duet With His "Voice Crush" And He's Never Sounded Better

Frank Sinatra had the smooth kind of voice that made any song of his worth listening to. We had to wait decades for someone to come along that sounded as silky, but he finally came around in the form of Michael Buble.

Buble has been a huge hit ever since his debut in 2002. He had numerous albums reach the top end of the Billboard charts all around the world. These successes all had one thing in common, Buble's smooth voice singing everyone's favorite standards.

In 2016, Buble's life was hit with tragedy as his son Noah was diagnosed with liver cancer. The hitmaker took a step back and focused on his family. Thankfully, Noah is now in full remission, but the illness changed the singer's perspective on life. He took a full two years off, but is now back at it again with his 10th album.

Although we love everything Buble's done so far, it's his recent work that is gaining a lot of attention. Not only does it sound amazing, it's also a whole new Buble. Help Me Make It Through The Night, is a country duet and probably Buble's best work. It didn't come out of the blue though, he has been waiting his whole career to sing this song.

"In my head, it was always a duet. I never heard it as a duet before, but I had always seen it as this incredible, sad, but beautiful story of two needy people who just did not have the strength to be alone anymore," Buble said.

Buble has worked with some of the biggest names in music, including Barbra Streisand and Mariah Carey, but he had never heard the voice that he wanted for his duet. Then he saw the movie The Greatest Showman and it clicked.

Hearing Loren Allred sing Never Enough on the soundtrack was all Buble needed. He reached out and got to work.

You can hear it for yourself here.

Allred was eliminated from Season 3 of The Voice during the first round of live performances. It appears the setback has only made her stronger. We hope to hear a lot more from her, and Buble, in the future.
