AMC's popular crime series may be coming to the big screen soon, according to sources close to the project.
Breaking Bad is one of those shows that you can binge watch over and over by yourself, with friends, or family. It also helps that it's on Netflix.
While the show was only five seasons long, we still wanted to see more when it ended, despite the tragic events that happen in the last episode.
That being said, there's still a lot of ambiguity surrounding those final moments of Breaking Bad.
The shows creator, Vince Gilligan, was quite aware of just how popular the original series became, which led to the prequel, Better Call Saul.
I think most people can agree that the spin-off, which was set six years before attorney Saul represents the chemist-turned-meth dealer Walter White, was entertaining, but it didn't quite meet everyone's expectations.
We simply loved the original show, the plot, and all the characters that came with it, especially Walter White, played by Bryan Cranston, and Jesse Pinkman, played by Aaron Paul.
Now five years later, Gilligan may be working on a 'Breaking Bad' film.
First, the film's title doesn't seem to be anything related to the original series. According to the Mexico Film Office, the movie will be called "Greenbrier."
While the film office didn't explicitly state that this was going to be a Breaking Bad film, a source close to the project confirmed to the Albuquerque Journal that it will be.
According to those sources, the movie will tell the story of the escape of a kidnapped man and his quest for freedom.
This begs the question: Could this movie be about Jesse Pinkman, who was last seen racing from a meth lab?
It's still too early to know about specific details, such as which actors will be returning and whether the movie will be released in cinemas.
Sources say Breaking Bad and prequel series Better Call Saul exec producers Mark Johnson and Melissa Bernstein will also be part of the project.
Many social media users are excited by this news, because any reports about 'Breaking Bad' are good, right?
One user shuts down naysayers and argues that it's highly unlikely Gilligan would ruin the show.
There's no word on when the movie will be released, but the cast are set to begin filming in Albuquerque mid-November through early February.
