Olivia Lettich has been a hockey fan since before she can remember, and at 11 years-old she finally got to see her first game. It wasn't the tickets she was missing, it was a pair of miracle glasses.
At 4 months-old Olivia was diagnosed with a rare form of eye cancer. By 2 she was legally-blind. She's only been able to see some shapes and blurry images...until now.
A special pair of glasses was developed that great enhances the images that Olivia can see, and the results were nothing short of miraculous.
"Everything is so beautiful," she said as soon as she put them on.
You might think someone seeing the world for the first time would want to take in the mountains, see the ocean or experience some of the world's greatest sights. Not Olivia, she wanted to see her favorite hockey team play, and they threw out all the stops to make it happen.
The Calgary Flames had her sitting front row during the game, on the bench during practice and even took her back into the locker-room before the game to meet her favorite players.
They even added one extra gift: a 5-2 win over New York.
